An Open Minded Suggestion

Hello Lotus clan members and people apart of the lotus community. i have been playing team fortress 2 since it came out. although i am new to your community besides the fact i played on you're dod servers. it has come to my attention that a new server should appear.

Details

The new server i suggest, will consist of one map and one map only, ctf_mach4 sadly i only played this map for a limited amount of time before the clan i used to play with who had this server disbanded. i think this map will bring a lot of young/old gamers to your community more donations more involvement. i believe if you open up a ctf_mach4 32 slot server it will be full constantly.

Objective - The idea of the map is that it is a capture the flag map but it will require alot of teamwork to work your way into the enemy base. this isn't a one player map folks where a scout runs in and takes the intel and scores, this will require teamwork to be used in a organized way. it is an equal balanced map where both teams will have the same fair advantage.

Screenshots- here are some screenshots of the map to give a little bit of an interest instead of launching your tf2 and exploring the map your self. Please ignore on one of the images it will say ctf_mach3 but its mach4

Thats all well and good but but I don't think Mana will make another server for just this map unless its going to get a lot of traffic. Something new like this would be nice to just throw in to one of the stock maps and see how people like it.

well another thing is that Mana should take the lowest populated server and replace it to see how it goes but the stock maps is a good idea to

I HIGHLY DOUBT that Mana will do this. We don't even have a hint of a custom map on any of the servers, so I don't think that we are gonna get a 24/7 custom map only, nor do I think that he'll even push it to a stocks.

i dont think it is a custom map. when mach4 was released it was a huge hit for tf2

Without you donating money/resources to run the server, it's not gonna happen here at Lotus Clan.

in order to try it out, you need a dedicated server + bandwidth + good up/down speeds. Those things aren't cheap, so unless you fork over some money, this won't happen

well, i guess need is the wrong word, more like if you want smooth gameplay for everyone on the server, and for the server to be like all the other lotus servers

hmmmm I dont know I just think that well first of all if the map was a big hit as you claimed then it would probably already be on one of the servers but since it's not, and personally I've never heard of it before in my life, then it's probably not that popular. you like it, cool but the majority might not.

True I respect that but think of it this way which map would you really switch out for this one? 2fort (although I hate it but a lot of people love it) goldrush, badwater, badlands or dustbowl cause well these are most of the maps on lotus servers, and to make a new server just to try this map will cost money and time as someone already said basically unless you are prepared to donate the money, I would give it no hope

All of the lotus servers are always full on play time hours from around 1 pm to 2 am I dont really think there is a server with low traffic.

i think there is. u you also have to remember some of the server says 33/34 but when i went into one of them no one was in it.

But there Isnt any if you dont belive me look on the page were you added this topic you will see all the tf2 servers lotus has to offer (and the fake user count doesnt work here) then check the servers from 1 pm to 2 am (careful time differene between us servers and uk servers) most probably they have 28 players or above

On the forums impossible cause that is connected to game tracker and game tracker calculates players by ip address but if you launch tf2 and click find servers then that is probably fake but fixed easly with a simple right click veiw server info.

You have to realize that you can't just ask someone, out of the blue, to make a 24/7 server, and replace one of the other servers in the process. This is made even sillier because it is a custom map, and you said you didn't think it was a custom map, well if it wasn't a custom map, it would already be in the stock maps, it isn't, so there. Thirdly, the idea of a custom map server has been tossed around, but again, these things cost money. Send Mana a large sum of cash and i'm sure he'd make it happen, but then you might as well do it yourself. Also, fake player counts only show up in the server browser, and everything else reports playercount in a way that cannot be faked. Good day to you sir, and i wish you well.

As someone who's played TF2 pretty much since it came out, and have played on the Lotus Clan servers almost exclusively (also was in the Clan for a year and a bit), I can say that without you donating money, time, and/or resources, it isn't going to happen.
