Problems With Office Server

Recommended Posts

I am posting for not only myself, but a few other people. Recently the Office Server has been lagging unbelievably often. It cannot be a player issue since most players are kicked (by people who think anyone with 150+ Ping is laggy) and most of the time the lag spikes are felt by everyone, not just one person.

I would suggest a server restart, but that may not work if it's an internet connection issue. But then again, the server has been up for days without a restart so that could be a problem.

This lag problem has been ongoing for nearly 2 days now, and people are becoming frustrated. Already the server population seemed to drop by 25% due to the lag spikes.

Thank you for reading,

Mik Pleld

The lag has been getting progressively worse, and this is now the 3 day mark of epic laggings. Please just join the server just to see what we are all crying about  .

Anyways server restart or something with the internet needs to be done. Hopefully this will go to the higher-ups.

In the meantime, you probably shouldn't encourage people to leave our server and go to yours.

Well I am sorry for advertising but the times I did were very appropriate. People were leaving as soon as they joined because of the lag spikes every 10 seconds so I was offering them an alternative friendly server that was a temporary hang out zone for a few people that wanted to play a fun office game.

I understand that this is no excuse to advertising (I would strike down advertisers mercilessly) but to be honest I have been playing Lotus Servers 3-4 hours a night, every night, and even more during the weekends. There is no doubt to my loyalty and persistence in playing the Lotus CS:S Server.

Once again, I would like to prove my loyalty if you don't think 3-4 hours a night is enough.

I have been helping people voteban the right people when necessary (Such as racists, spammers, and hackers). I have also been lecturing new players how to play CS:S better by telling them a few tips and tricks (such as spraying with rifles = bad).

Lastly I would like to say that I have been doing the opposite of advertising now that Lotus Servers are fixed. I have been telling people to come back later and making nice little talks with them.

Anyways if this affects my chances for admin at all, please tell me (Since I want to be aware of my chances. I have been checking forums 3 times a day hoping I receive a reply to my admin application) so I can make up for my mistakes, after all everybody makes mistakes and the advertising mistake was a stupid one.

With Best Regards and Apologies,

Mik Pleld

The server should now be auto restarting after a few days uptime.

Also, voteban now works right away and votescramble also works.

It's started lagging again, play numbers are stupidly high: 13468 : Perhaps it isn't restarting or make it restart a bit more often? :)

Much Love.

Go Valve and their memory leaks!

Anyway, the auto restarter is thinking that bots are real players. This will need to be adjusted.

I have been playing the office server, and the rank on the server has been jumping randomly. Could you please look into it. I went from rank 300 to rank 3 in about half an hour. this doesn't make scene.
