Spartan_0214 18 #3 Posted March 25, 2010 Right. That map that's hardly played? That map that got itself stuck on servers? That map that's one of the worst maps Valve has added to TF2? No, thank, you.
Mana 3,867 #4 Posted March 25, 2010 It's not popular and also broken. Can get stuck at times and turns the game into perma-TDM until the map gets changed. Not happening. Maybe if Valve have fixed it when the major problems were first reported it would be a bit more popular.
Melissia 7 #5 Posted March 25, 2010 That map that's one of the worst maps Valve has added to TF2? But not as bad as turbine which for some godforsaken reason we play so damn often (probably because phantom has a hardon for spawn camping and the people who vote for maps are idiots not realizing they're going to be spawn camped for twenty minutes while someone holds the intel not capping it). Turbine is far, far, FAR worse than pipeline EVER was. Turbine is the worst official map for TF2 by far, worse than Hoodoo, Pipeline, the third level of dustbowl, etc etc etc.

Melissia 7 #7 Posted March 26, 2010 It depends on how fast they get to the point where they're spawn camping.

Brokkoly 11 #13 Posted May 18, 2010 locomotive, if you keep posting like that, mana is likely to delete pipeline from all servers to spite you

Maybe if Valve have fixed it when the major problems were first reported it would be a bit more popular. Updated PLR_Pipeline Added new stairwell in Stage 1 and window access to both teams’ platforms by main choke point to help alleviate stalemates. Reverted the starting position for the cart in Stage 3 if a team had won the first 2 stages to where you no longer get a big cart-start-position advantage. Fixed rare cases where stage would break when cart had no nearby capper(s). Fixed carts not always moving to their starting locations correctly. Fixed respawn times in Stage 3 not being set to the proper values. Fixed the map not finishing correctly in Stage 3 if the two teams capture the final point at the same time. Spartan_0214 18 #19 Posted May 22, 2010 omg valve actually cares now Valve cares, it just takes it forever to update something. Too busy making L4D games and not releasing HL2EP3.

locomotive 15 #21 Posted May 24, 2010 Then why arent they fixing tf2 instead of running off and making new games. I am sure tf2 still has the highest sales out of all there games although that is not a fact.

locomotive 15 #23 Posted May 24, 2010 You forgot Counter Strike/Source. True but arnt they trying to make counter a little more tf2ish, you know since they added the dominations and revenge systems and all those other changes in beta like tf2, well my point is I think tf2 is there best game (highest metta score too) so why the hell arnt they taking good care of it? Spartan_0214 18 #24 Posted May 24, 2010 1. There's only a small team dedicated to TF2. The engine's there, the graphics are there, the mechanics are there, so really it's just tweaking what's already there. 2. TF2 only really sells when they release the big updates, like the SniperVSpy or the Soldier/Demo update. 3. Valve tries to test new content before its released. Those are three good reasons why it takes a while for new content to come out. Major flaws in TF2 do get fixed fairly quickly. I still think, however, that the small team that works on TF2 needs to crank stuff out when they say they're going to.
