Donator Unban Or Refund Request

Howdy,

I was in one of the Lotus clan TF2 west coast servers on Apr 2 around 4:30am pst. My Steam id is STEAM_0:0:505665 and nickname of Ice Cream Man.

Someone had brought up a ban vote on another player 'Slowbro' at least four times with each time the vote not passing. It was said that player 'Clever Girl' (a donator) initiated the voting. All that I knew was a donator kept doing it since the ban vote came up each time immediately.

To try and stop the constant 'Slowbro' votebans I initiated a votekick of 'Clever Girl' for justifiable distributive play and the vote passed. She reconnected and about three minutes later another two votes for a voteban of Slowbro was initiated. Everyone was saying to votekick her again.

I initiated a mute vote of 'Clever Girl' which passed. As the server changed maps I got disconnected with a 2 week ban of donator privileges.

Obviously I have several issues with this. Are these 2-week bans done by the server automatically or was an admin involved? If an admin is invloved, being a donator I would expect a warning. Would 'Clever Girl' also have been banned for donator abuse having initiated multiple ban votes?

As you can see I wasn't 'abusing' my donator benefits just responding to someone else who was. I would request that my status be returned to normal ASAP. I have enjoyed playing on your servers and felt that reimbursing you guys for the time and money it takes to run the servers is fine. I was looking forward to renewing my donation at the end of the three months. However, if immediate reinstatement is not available; I would require a prorated refund of my donation back to my credit card and we can part ways amicably.

Do you have a time when this happened? And IP for the server which this happened in? I can check the logs to see what really happened.

I see votes in the plugin logs, though without much context. The game logs, I didn't bother looking up.

Since there's no demos, neither here nor in unban requests. I don't really know what happened.

You're unbanned, for now anyway.

In the future, if something like this happens, record a demo. Will make this easier.
