So I watched the video, and was slightly confused. I couldn't find definitive/ANY proof of tracking through walls. Then I got to thinking: Maybe he meant I was a tracker, and I could run really fast and catch my kills from behind. So I watched the video again, but to my dismay, I was in the same area most of the time, which meant speed hacks were out of the question. That brought me to another question: What IF, JUST IF, I had custom skins, that made one team blue, and one team red, which made it easier to see players? Again, I was disappointed to realize Valve already implemented this AS A FEATURE in the game. My mind then really started racing; Maybe I had an "AIMBOT"? Maybe my bullets were extra fast? Maybe my bullets did extra damage when getting a head shot fully charged? IS IT POSSIBLE, I HAD A CLOAK OF INVISIBILITY THAT ENABLED OTHERS TO UNSEE ME?! My heart was pounding at this point. I didnt know what to make of it. But then it struck me: Someone, with 16 posts here, was QQ'ing so hard, that he missed every telltale sign of where to shoot next. MAYBE, he is so sad, maybe about something in real life, (oil spill in the Gulf Of Mexico possibly?) that since another player (READ: MOST OTHER PLAYERS) was better than him, that he should attempt to bullshit a kick out of the situation, and a ban on the forums because its the only way he can save face after the embarrassment he created on the Lotus' server.

What a sad attempt to discredit [-VM-] as a group just because they like to play on a server you like, and you don't like them/me. Plenty of other servers to get on man, don't ruin the game for the rest of us.

Obviously you have never seen a wall hacker, nor been a sniper. Snipers don't ambush. Geode, I play this game like CSS, camping as... a DEFENDER? On a scale of 1-10, how mad are you GEO that I have less total game play hours than you have in one week, and yet I'm teaching YOU how to snipe and play this game? I invite every admin to watch the demo and make a decision as to if I was aiming on people through walls, and/or tracking them with no knowledge of where they could/would pop out. Due to your mature way of dealing with your concerns in game Geo, you have created a lot of unnecessary grade school drama, talking about how I wall hack, how I track people through walls, and that you have irrefutable proof you were going to post online. What you have posted was an embarrassment. Mainly to me. It shows how bad I am at aiming. I know I know, I'm not pro. I miss a lot of easy shots, let a lot jump past me. Remember, had the game a week. Give me a break guys. Note to Lotus: Possibly reprimand admin status or allow temp bans for unnecessary accusations. And maybe an age restriction for donating. We cant have more children like Geode stealing mom and dads debit cards to fund your servers.

Well, I was going to search for a working wallhack, replay the demo on my own system, and record it as a video. Thanks for saving me the time, superrrr.

Actually, I rather like everyone on [VM] (or [-VM-]) and have enjoyed playing with all of them... albeit with one new exception. What the video shows is what I believed to be happening. If I'm wrong, then I apologize to OO7 and the rest of VM. If not... what does [VM] say?

hmm, well first off, thtas a nifty little thing with the colored players. Honestly, i didn't see anything suspicious such as tracking, I saw a good sniper. I personally feel if you were to take a demo of any good sniper and throw this wallhack/texture crap onto a demo, itd look suspicious as hell too. If their was deliberate tracking I'd say you got something, but from what I can tell, he saw someone go around a corner and lined up a shot and waited in some instances.

I've played sniper alot of late, and I can more or less tell the height of the characters in the respected world, which makes headshots easiar. Also, snipers generally poke out in the same places every game, and if you played CSS at ALL, taking those snap shots are what count.

Honestly, having the wallhack on the demo makes it harder to see exactly what was exposed and all that.

I even told him he requested my ban incorrectly. I think my favorite part was when Superssss showed us my demo with his whatever on and it had me missing most of my shots. LEARN 2 GOLDRUSH.

Go watch a real wall hacker. Or go use your tears as lubricant. You lost alot of peoples respect Geode by falsely accusing a new player of hacking, and it was quite a shock to myself and my teammates to watch you stoop so low. I told you man, you should have came to Hirogen or Whitey or myself, or got a second opinion/ more demos before you start the votekick train and get the other team upset about hacks. All you did was give them fuel, and if your intention was to discredit good players by going through all this trouble, then you get a B- on effort.

If you read the steam forums, the general consensus on L4D, L4D2, TF2, ect is that people will be quick to call hacks when the skill levels are not even close. Meaning that if I just got L4D2 and played against a pro, some of the stuff he does may seem a bit dodgy, even though its completely legit. And it would be immature to call "wallhacks", or "aimbot" on him, would it not? Unfortunately, that happens more often than not, and people will record demos and find nothing, which they would interpret as "paid skill". Anyways, cliff notes: NOT MANY HACKERS IN SOURCE GAMES. I dont care if you can count ten hackers. Or twenty. Or thirty. Remember, players on steam are up in the millions. Odds are, Assuming there are 100,000 people who play TF2, that you dont find a hacker in your game.

What I'm trying to get at is, I understand your concern and point of view Geode and whoever else agrees with him. If I had watched a teammate or enemy roll the other team over and over, and didn't understand the game or how to play very well, I might have also thought some sort of cheating was involved. I apologize for saying your bad at the game. I honestly do see your POV. I would be angry as well, if a sniper consistently beat me in score and MVP status while I was a heavy or pyro the whole round. I would record demos and claim hacks if I found a player who's reaction speed was better than mine, and had better accuracy than me.

Actually, I wouldn't. Because in TF2, it takes more than one hacker to turn a team around. Especially someone who can see, (from what I gather in the video) 6 inches through a wall, if thats even a wallhack.

I just got the game, I'm not the best at snap shots, but I've been practicing. I'm at about a 60-70% head-shot rate right now, (When I actually hit the person) which isn't HORRIBLE, I just know I can do better.

This demo takes place on stock lotus. Now lets move on to the demo that someone took, at the untrained eye it looks like everything is normal. Doesn't look like any wallhacking is going on. But you see its magic when he magically knows when to zoom in on people thats around the corner that he can't "see".

You're not alone in this, although you're certainly in the minority.

It has nothing to do with discrediting [-VM-]. As I said, I like every member of [-VM-] that I've met (with, of course, one notable exception). I have found every member of the clan with whom I've had the pleasure of interacting to be good, skillful players and pleasant people.

Heh... I guess some things are more obvious than others, eh? I have played as a sniper, and I've watched both wallhackers and good snipers. Good Snipers (I'm thinking of CoronerGirl here) have pwned me, and I've turned around and spec'd them. I follow their movements, watch what they watch, see what they see... and they have no way of predicting that a person will pop around a corner other than "Gee, I'll watch this corner because someone will *probably* come around it." We all know that snipers watch that corner on the first segment of GoldRush immediately after the first cap, and it's quite natural to watch that point. They do NOT, however, seem to track people through the wall (for clarification, by "tracking" I mean that the sight appears to follow someone who would otherwise be invisible). There's normally a short but reasonable delay between the sighting of the target and the time to press the 'fire' button (typically around 1/3 of a second). After spec'ing CoronerGirl, I was compelled to admit that she was getting clean kills (and I told her so). I also learned a lot about sniping from watching her... she's quite good.

Those that wallhack are different. They don't have the delay between sighting of target and the natural reaction time to press the 'fire' button, simply because they are predicting the kill. They're not REACTing... they're ACTing on knowledge and starting the keypress/buttonpress to time their shot with the appearing of the target. This is what I saw you doing.

Had I not been certain, I would not have accused. If I have lost people's respect, then they had little to give or they do not know me. If they know me, they know I do not undertake such things lightly. Those who have lost respect for me have their own issues to deal with.

second account? If you are lying about this, I would expect a similar amount of truth from all your other statements.

I can explain this, since it's what I was going to do. A demo can be though of as a recording of the actions in a game -- something like a recording of the network packets which describe the actions of the various entities in the game. A demo is not a video (MP4, MPEG, WMV, etc.) of the game, which would require 20-30 fps recording plus encoding... and a lot more storage. So when you play back a demo, it's a lot like watching a game take place in real time (except, of course, that the actions are recorded). If you have a recording of the actions, then you can play it back in any matching TF2 environment. If you have special skins, those skins will show up. Also, if you have a wallhack (which superrrr was able to get), then you'll see what the original player would have seen if s/he'd had a wallhack. If you turn off all textures, then you'll see the default textures. You get the idea.

So superrrr found a wallhack and replayed the video with the wallhack active and used some external program to record that to a video, since people without the hack won't see the info.

I watched the clock on the video, and unless superrrr did a remarkable amount of photoshoping for each frame and then constructed a video out of the whole thing, it looks legit to me.

True, I don't have your Steam ID. I'm fairly certain I can get it, but I also wanted to see if anyone could offer a reasonable and rational explanation for how I might be wrong. I've had many people I respect voice their opinions on the demo/video. Most of them agree than it looks like wallhacks, although admittedly there are a few who believe there are no hacks. Additional people have chimed in and added their opinions (superrrr is one, whom I don't believe I know but I do appreciate his work here).

Anyway, all this to say that, after weighing the feedback and seeing new information, I still believe you were hacking.
