-eli- 0 #1 Posted July 1, 2010 Hey everyone, i'm here not trolling or in any attempt of fagness, spam or other kind of shit stuff. And i hope you people to understand the point i'm making here. I'm speaking in the name of Lotus United Kingdom Community Players by saying we would like to see some Lotus Representation on uk servers in game. It would be good having one maybe two admins usually playing to kick the disruptive players and ban the hackers. There's a phrase on lotus servers that keeps showing something about "World Domination" ( =D ). Well, why are we waiting? European Lotus needs some admins . Sorry about spamming with these kind of topics but we all just trying to get some support from you guys Lotus and by these i'm not saying the servers sucks or something, they're very good and always full. Urbanizer! 0 #3 Posted July 1, 2010 To be honest, I've never encountered that many hackers in the UK servers, and if one was found, it was easily dealt with "voteban". One thing I have to suggest is to get the Steam ID of the person and record a demo with proof of the person hacking, then post it up in the forums, he'll be banned by the Staff team. No longer a Sexy King:^) 5,592 #5 Posted July 1, 2010 I'm a donor and i found a guy hacking another uber hack and like i told everyone he was hacking and i started a voteban but ppl voted no and even if he was banned would be like for 30 mins. But you're right Steam ID and demo but sometimes takes a while to get him banned by the staff cuz they have a life but still would be cool have some admins helping. Atwa 0 #6 Posted July 1, 2010 The Lotus UK 24/7 Dustbowl server is one of my favorite servers to play on. Lots of nice regulars visiting there, a great and pleasant ambience - that's what always brings me back to playing there. With the addition of bots, maybe that even solves the problem with certain hours, when no players can be found on it. I hope so at least. On the other hand, it would be nice to have a watchful presence around, at least occasionally. It's true that hackers are very rare, but still they sometimes plague the server, like a speedhacking Engie that was around at least two times (Or it could have been two different individuals, since I can't remember the name, but that would be quite a coincidence). Unfortunately, votebanning doesn't always work the way it's supposed to be. That may be due to people not getting how to do it, not being convinced there actually is a hacker or simply wanting to disrupt the game themselves. For situations like this one, it would be fantastic to have a dedicated Admin that can take action (rather) swiftly. Another thing would be the issue with spawn-times. In my opinion, a rather short one for BLU and a rather long one for RED is perfect. RED can't really spawncamp and at the same time can't permanently defend the CPs, which enables the game to be ended by something else than the time-limit. (Dustbowl with no-respawn-timer is horrible, really horrible) If there's an UK admin, the US ones wouldn't have to bother coming over to fix it for us. And that goes for for a lot of things I can't (begin to) think of. It could only benefit Lotus and the server to have someone appointed to keep an eye out over the UK servers. Krash 1,040 #8 Posted July 2, 2010 One thing that wrecks clans (I've seen it too many times before) is too many admins. Administrating a server is difficult, especially if you want to do it so that it effects everyone fairly. Not to mention playing in a server that is practically full of admins is intimidating. But if the UK servers had 2 or 3 admins that regularly made patrols it would clean them up, as well as if this were applied to all the servers. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
