Mana 3,867 #1 Posted August 11, 2010 Last week I got to talk to the king of war-themed hat simulator Team Fortress 2, Robin Walker, about the team’s future plans for the game. They’ve now released an update for each of the game’s nine player classes, but that doesn’t mean they’re done. In fact, the next update will likely be out next month (Valve time), and it’s going to add item trading, a brand new game mode, and around twenty new weapons and hats. pilvlp 2 #5 Posted August 12, 2010 I am not a big fan of the item trading. When it comes out you can trade to get anything. I enjoy the fun of playing and actually earning the items and hats I have. Also, there are people out there with multiple account with 40+ hats on each account. They can just trade them all to their main which is laaaaaaaaaame. I think I'll try to avoid the hat trading. Rolooooooooo 2 #9 Posted August 12, 2010 well, am gotta need another page or 2pages for the new stuff. Maybe their lower the 4 refines and a class token to 3, to make a class hat of random? Maybe even add the 1 hat and a class token to recraft a hat into a random hat of that class. People with duplicate hats like myself (3 pyro beanies) could craft until we get the hat we want for a particular class we do play. New game mode= steal your enemies hats or survival mode. lol add the female versions of TF2, but I bet valve is making that separately.
Paul Bunyan 13 #10 Posted August 12, 2010 I can guarantee they aren't adding in female versions.
IceSage 58 #11 Posted August 12, 2010 My favorite part of the article was the discussion of the new spy knife. Honestly, a knife that can only do facestabs would be rather entertaining. "Oh no! A spy is coming!" "QUICK, TURN YOUR BACK TO FACE HIM!"
Josh 18 #12 Posted August 12, 2010 My favorite part of the article was the discussion of the new spy knife. Honestly, a knife that can only do facestabs would be rather entertaining. "Oh no! A spy is coming!" "QUICK, TURN YOUR BACK TO FACE HIM!" It won't be able to do face stabs, so i'm assuming it gives some sort of buff to make it worth using. It's the only "weapon" that doesn't have a replacement so far so they better give it good stats.
Josh 18 #13 Posted August 12, 2010 fine, one of the only "weapons"....
ReconPWN 10 #14 Posted August 24, 2010 I can already smell the crying of children getting robbed or tricked of their hats or items. Depending on how this system works. Further more I am glad valve finally made this and I can't wait to get my hands on some new hats in the next year or so.
