Machine That Goes Bonk 0 #1 Posted September 10, 2010 Is it possible to reconsider the percentage of votes needed to mute a player? The servers aren't all talk so the team that the person isn't on doesn't have any reason to hit yes when the vote comes up. Just some food for thought. Thanks Bonk
ReconPWN 10 #2 Posted September 10, 2010 I agree the opposing team has no idea how annoying the child on the other team is to his peers. Something to consider I suppose.
Lemon Jelly 26 #3 Posted September 11, 2010 I agree the opposing team has no idea how annoying the child on the other team is to his peers. Something to consider I suppose. I was thinking the same thing but on the other hand, I have noticed people will vote yes for no reason. Even if they have no idea what or why they're voting. ReconPWN 10 #4 Posted September 11, 2010 I was thinking the same thing but on the other hand, I have noticed people will vote yes for no reason. Even if they have no idea what or why they're voting. I used to make my votes 3. Yes 4. No (Could be a smart idea to start using, if possible...) It eliminates the 1 spam that always happens.
Retsam 1 #5 Posted September 12, 2010 Ya, probably a flaw in logic in whatever plugin mana uses for muting. Id have to say, on our servers im pretty sure the plugin we use for votemute has the same flaw now that I think about it. It would be smarter to detect if alltalk was enabled or not, and then if not, then calculate the percentage based on the number of players on the team, instead of entire server. kuttlewug 28 #6 Posted September 12, 2010 Or you could just go into options and mute players you don't want to listen to. If it's somebody on the other team I don't even bother voting at all.

nhdjoseywales 0 #8 Posted September 14, 2010 i dont have a problem with muting. its the jerks who vote no on votekicking an AFK that i hate.
Mana 3,867 #9 Posted September 15, 2010 Based on the logs, votemute has over ~65% success rate. I don't think there's a need for a vote percentage decrease at this time.

I agree that the individual muting is a godsend in game, but it's nice to not have to go through the whole process all over again when new people join or different people wind up on the same person's team later on. Ahh well.
