I'd like to start a movement to mass ban these people again. All they do is cause trouble. Abuse donator privileges, stack teams, exploit and votekick people they don't agree with. It's sad and disruptive. Greatest offenders recently are:

Lotus used to be a nice place to play. But the servers have seriously gone down hill. We need to eradicate this nuisance so that everyday players can have fun and enjoy the game.

But in reality nothing will happen, because no one cares and these people all share the same environmental existence. It's a sad state of affairs. People should not have the ability to kick, ban, etc and donator rights are a joke,

But what the fuck, I have nothing better to do.

Went and registered just to reply to this post - people will always do these things, regardless of affiliation. People still shoot stickies under the floor and still burn sentries from below. They've been doing it and will continue to do it.

Team stacking? Everyone does it. Would you rather play with friends or people you know, or play on the opposite team? Answer seems fairly obvious there.

A few of the votekicks I've seen were actually warranted (teleport traps and the like), but some are also simply joke votes that never even get started anyways.

Greatest offenders? Seriously? How long have you been on the server, a week? If teamstacking is all it takes to make it on your "Greatest offender" list, then pretty much the entire server is on it.

An extreme solution for something relatively easy to accomplish. You might already know who I am - I'm the Heavy that runs around and punches people. I don't need to ban other people just to have fun - just make it yourself. If you have to depend on getting folks banned just in order to have fun, you're doing something wrong.

No one cares and neither should you. None of these people affect your daily life beyond TF2. You join a Lotus server, play for a bit, MAYBE see one or two of them. That's it.

No comment on the donator rights. I've always seen those as a bit of a waste.

I realize its a valve problem with not fixing it. But abusers (and there are several on lotus) should be banned plain and simple.

The primary issue with teamstacking is that people don't like losing. Regardless of friends or no friends, no one wants to be on the losing team - it's not fun to get steamrolled by the opposition repeatedly, whether you're attacking or on defense. This means that folks typically end up sitting in Spectate until a spot opens up on the winning team, at which point they'll join it. Only possibly solution to that is for Mana to put a timer on Spectate, so that you're forced onto a team - but then again, players can't simply leave the server if that happens.

The Team Win server is typically only used during associate matches. I don't know what the VM folks do, only know that they have a server. Are the options available? Yes they are. The only problem is that you're typically stuck with a smaller server population than, say, the Lotus GR 1 server.

And call me biased if you want, but what Johnny does hardly constitutes mic spam. There are far worse offenders out there - most of them typically end up getting votemuted or something else.

If anything, it sounds like the biggest problem here is teamstacking. That's something that will always happen, no matter who is on the server, and it'll continue to happen even if you ban folks. It's like a cockroach - no easy way to get rid of it.

I would not expect you to see the correlation between the way people treat you on the server and your chat log as you seem to lack social insight necessary to get along with the group. I didn't realize telling people they were bad was such a horrible thing. God forbid I complain about a bad team. But its not all negative. While I might curse or call people bad its always constructive. Like explaining that we have too many snipers, no medics, lost because of said reason, etc.

donator rights- mana did change some of the donator privs before to make it seem a bit more fair to non/donators: each donator can't change anytime he/she wants,votekick or votebans are 30min temporary. If people are really abusing their donation rights show the admins real facts or proof to convince Mana, Josh, or admins to believe you.

Teamstacking- Dude you should check out stack map 2 (am sure phantom, asdf, Deja, etc would love to hear about stacking) your love seeing people play when it's 20 VS 6 or sometimes 24 VS 8! Seriously, stacking isn't against the server rules, so the best advice I can say is leave the server, ask nicely if some of the regs on the stack team can join the your team to make it even. If they don't want to that's perfectly fine since their not breaking any rules of the server. While it may seem bad for the newbs or people not good enough to beat the regulars at least you have other servers to try out and get better.

Destroyer [Team Win], Shavingryansprivate are really that bad enough to be banned. I have played with all or at least most of the [-VM-] and [Team Win] clan before under different names to see how they treat people, but don't think it's worth it. Yes there are times when I hear these names do some wrongs,but VM or Team Win do sometimes have a just cause for it. Other times when they do something completely inappropriate, (yell, or get mad at people for playing classes they don't want them to play, so they can win) but explain at least in simple or the most polite way why they did it. If those peoples behavior is really bad as you say and worth bannable get a bunch of regulars from the server to show facts and provide clear answers.

p.s. looks like I may need to put on my spy hat again and see what the big deal is. at least it's not about the hacking sniper.

I would like you to be able to back up your accusation of me team stacking because I make a point of staying on the team I am put on. Heck, I even enjoy the chance to go at my friends as spy. But if I am lieing about this I would be glad to be proven wrong. Go ahead and show that I am a notorious team stacker if you can.

You know as well as any of us that cussing out players for playing the wrong class is going to get an angry response from most players. You have had plenty of chances to prove to me that you aren't as obnoxious as you were the first time I played with you by dropping the whole thing but you continue to accuse people of team stacking and are constantly trying to get a rise out of players. Finally, and most importantly, I would like to talk about your accusations of abuse of vote kicking and banning. The main point is that donators start the vote, they don't decide it. There are usually about 4-10 of us "offenders" on the server which makes up 12-30% of the server. I believe the vote kick requires 60% (correct me if I'm mistaken) and 80% for a ban. Clearly us "offenders" don't hold the power the get you off the server whenever we want. We can start the vote but a vote includes the opinion of the entire server. To put it simply, if the other players didn't think you were annoying enough to get kicked or banned, you wouldn't be.

No, the main point is that it is a flawed system. Donators have the ability to immediately start a vote. Otherwise it takes 5 people, then the vote starts. Its also flawed with the whole 1-Yes 2-No bullshit. You know how many times I've hit yes trying to do something else because some jackass starts some unnecessary vote? Any idea how many people just hit "Yes" anyway? It's been brought up countless times.

Sounds like your problem lies in a) not knowing the !revote command and b ) all of the players who vote yes without thinking, not the people who start the vote.
