Staff Applications, Ranks, New User Group

On Thursday the 19Th I should be adding a staff application to the forums which you can use to sign up for staff.

Here are some of the things you should know before even trying to fill the form out:

Must be an active member

Have knowledge of the forums and the forums

A nice post count is needed (that does not mean that you should start spamming)

Good relationship with the community (People need to like you )

Theres alot more but those are the main points.

On a side note:

I have added a new group called "Advanced Member". In that group you have the abbility to

*have a custom (bold,Italic, etc) user title.

*Delete your own posts

*Blue username color in posts and active userlist.

*Access to a special hidden forum where you can see some of the back work on the site and similar stuff.

*I will update the list later today as there are much more benefits.

You are automaticaly placed in that group when you recieve 1500 posts. (It was 1000 before).

Also there will be a thread made later where you can post your suggestions about the ranks as the current ones arent the best .

I meant it this way.

Hypothetically,

a person is a moderator and an advanced member, once a new job opens or he wants to quit, can he switch and change to a new group?

Advanced member is just a rank for the usual websites. 1500 posts is a bit much. Bold/Italic Blue user name? That shouldn't be given unless you are a subscriber or in staff.

Its not bold, its only blue. Bold is for staff or supporters.

It does differ from an admin username but still looks bold since the names are thick.

Take a look at thhe active userlist, otherwise in the posts (The thing that links to your profile when you click on your name) is bold for everyone.

I know. My point is it looks like bold. We participate in alot of websites and you can't disagree then these aren't thicker. Plus the blue makes them look large.

Not really, I don't think it does. But they look normal in the active user list. In IPB the member names were never meant to be colored in the posts.

Boldness also refers to color thickness not just writing.
