Da Jug Uh Nut {Team Win} 1 #1 Posted December 30, 2010 Hello to the Admin(s), I play on lotus goldrush #1 quite often (and have been for the past 2 and a half years or so). A couple weeks ago, I was banned for 'exploiting' for blowing someone up using stickies through the wall. I get that this is an exploit and all, but if it is a ban-able offense, then it should just be put into the server rules so that no one does it, because just about every demo on goldrush blows stickies up through the wall on the first stage at cap 1. If the rule is to be made to not do that any more, then I won't do that any more, but it would be nice to get unbanned from pretty much the only server I've been playing on for the past couple years. In the holiday spirit, of course! Edit: I forgot to include my steam id. Here it is: STEAM_0:0:18937451 Thanks!
Da Jug Uh Nut {Team Win} 1 #2 Posted December 30, 2010 All exploits are bannable. I was there. DeJa was there as well as most of the regulars on Stocks #2 (that was the server you were doing it on) It's a temporary ban, and it will expire on January 19, 2011, unless Mana decides to reduce it. Yes, I get that this is an exploit. What I am saying is that if Lotus clan doesn't want demos doing this, then why not just use the same system as SourceOP and just auto-kick anyone who blows someone up at the start of the round? This sounds like a clear-cut and fair solution IMO. I won't give any names because I'm not a jerk, but I even know certain Lotus recruits that take advantage of this exploit, so it would only be fair to apply the rule consistently to everyone by installing such a filter. Or you could just not do it? Seriously, are you a 5th grader? The Lotus Clan atmosphere isn't that of a day care, where we limit everything you do. Just be a mature gamer and acknowledge and ignore that glitch.

I don't understand why you're taking an offensive tone toward me when I'm being polite, so maybe explaining my suggestion in more detail will help: What I am saying is that there is a filter that can be applied that automatically kicks anybody who kills someone before the start of the round. My point isn't that I can't handle not using that glitch - frankly, I couldn't care less to use it at all. Instead, my intention is to point out that if Lotus clan truly intends to ban all exploits, then wouldn't such a filter be an easy way to facilitate that goal? This would also prevent so many others from getting away with such exploits by setting an auto-kick/auto-ban standard.

Is demo spamming over the wall on Level 3 of Goldrush considered an exploit? Both red spamming from final cap into the cap 2 alley, or blue spamming into final cap?
