Hi,

Ok I've just been votekicked from your 24/7 2Fort server for killing the opposite team wile they sit in the sewers doing anything but killing.

The main person who seems to start these parties that generally spoil the game play for everyone else and result to kicks and bans is Aniime or Assassin as he's now called, there are others as well.

For such a exclusive clan I'm surprised you let this happen in your servers.

Sorry but I'm a bit annoyed after seeing this happen time after time and well, I can count on one hand the amount of times I've seen an admin on the UK 24/7 server so if there where more about this wouldn't happen so often.

I play on the UK server a lot and I've seen this a lot and they have become more un-polite to other players as times passed.

If you ask anyone people would probably tell you that I don't really like a lot of people on the servers and they don't like me but fortunately I'm not wanting to make friends seeing as I would rather play well and contribute to getting the intel.

Also for a recruit I would expect you to be a bit more polite

A large admin team is not good, when you have a lot of people in power, a power struggle begins. Seen it happen to many times. Thats why Lotus servers have a great Vote system.

If there are a lot of people in the server who don't like this (as you say) then it wouldn't be a problem to votekick/ban these people, no?

In the end, being a stuck-up douche like you, posting in the wrong section, about a problem that can be solved easily, wont help you.

Post in the ban requests forum, with a demo and their Unique Steam ID. Make sure you follow the template .

You can make demos and post a ban request. If they are constantly disrupting gameplay then they will be dealt with.

I'm always willing to have a polite, civilized conversation if the favour is returned. It may be a misunderstanding but your first post seemed pretty rude.

I can completely understand your frustration as I feel the same, and I am a UK player myself. Its also the reason I am now an admin on the UK stocks server. Although My powers don't extend to any other servers, If you want to add me on steam I'm more than happy to help you deal with douche bags however I can. All it takes is to ask - politely.

Like everybody has said, if you record a demo of any ass-hattery then they will be dealt with appropriately. If there's anything I can help with in the future let me know, i'm always keen to help a fellow UK gamer.

Not camping no, members of the red team and blue team basically sat in the sewer jumped around wile taunting and vote kicked or banned anyone who came in and killed there "friends".

Sorry about yesterday, a mix of a bad day at work and then "Ass-Hattery" adding to my stress didn't help things.

I'm quite ashamed that I let them get to me so much and that resulted to my stupid posts yesterday.

If your willing to have me on your friends list the I would enjoy having another brit to play with.

What should I use to make a demo of these parties?

Basically to record a demo, go into Spectator, find the person to spectate, open console and type "record filename" (ex: record assholes) and it will start to record, then type "stop" in console to stop recording. Then to view it, type "demoui" and browse for the file you named it (assholes.dem) and if it shows proof, go to a free upload site and upload it and post the link!

Honestly if someone tried to kick me after I did that I don't think it'd succeed because as, how many people who even be in the parties? Like 5 max?

Even if they get a vote to begin, would the rest of the server actually agree to kick you? If you're pushing your said of whatever arguements they bring up, namely 'what you are doing imblances the teams and wastes server slots', there would probably be more people with you than against you.

I've seen it from 3-7 players but its usually a uneven team balance so say if there are more blues: blues lose defence and then red starts winning. If I'm on the Red team and I kill the blues I'll get the blues that i killed kicking me + the few reds in there and then a lot of the red team for stopping them from winning so easily ... Its a stupid situation.

Hello my in game name is Fred [dBs] and I also have some bad experiences with these so called "parties" on the Lotus Clan UK Server.

I started playing "24/7" on the UK server for only a couple of months ago, but I have already experienced some bad moments.

Sewer parties is what it's usually called, some players gathers in one sewer, usually as heavys, they sit there, call each other spies, eat sandviches and sometimes starts votekicks/votebans on players who kill them.

These players are sinply trying to play the game, it's a public server, so they have the right to play game.

Now I know I need more proof, like record a demo.

I, or someone else could certainly fix that in the nearest future.

I want to put an end to these parties since they: 1. Prevents players to play the game. 2. Players gets kicked/banned for only playing the game, and 3. They also get shouted at and called names.

Now if you want a good server where everyone can play the game, then this need to end.

They should either learn the simple rule that everyone that wants to play the game, can do that without worrying about what may happen. Or simply just start an own server and call it 24/7 Sewer Party or something.

Honestly i dont see what the big deal is.

People like to have fun it's just a game afterall, if people want to run in a sircle in a sewer let them, I mainly ignore them, mostly because they dont pose a threat to me in the game. Somtimes i like to have fun too and just do random things like taunt or play pyro tennis or things like that. I point out again it's just a game, dont take it so damn seriosly. I agree with the vote thing on the otherhand large number of admins, aka "leaders" all share a different point of view some allow it some hate it, if you give the voting power to everyone the players on the server will make the decision. I play on the 24/7 2fort uk map aswell and you sometimes see people pulling a party or two here and there and other people starting a huge rage about it. Calm down, asses the sitsuation and do what you want to do and let others do what they want to do. I think if you start a huge rage about it you will be the one kicked faster the one starting the parties, no one likes a nerd rage afterall (tho it is funny from time to time).

I can't say that I'm "raging" over this at all. I'm simply pointing out the problem and what it causes. It causes (sometimes) innocent players to get kicked or banned.

I really don't have anything big against it, but it's just this part of it which I do not like.

Since some of the players who often starts the parties now know about this thread, it's been fewer parites, but sometime they still occur.

I suppose this is where the record a demo fits in

Yes i agree it sometimes causes that but most of the parties i've seen or been in have been nice and civil and no one was banned or kicked. It's rare those parties get out of hand because i've never come across it myself.

I have. Got votebanned once.

Fortunately, they aren't yet TOO aggressive with it, so I got a bunch of free kills before it happened, at which point it was about time for me to stop playing anyway, so I left and the ban lasted a surprisingly short period of time afterwards.

As long as they don't start votebanning right off the bat, I like taking a demoman, pyro or sniper and brutally massacring them all.

I just found it weird that donators aren't immune to bans from non-admins, and it's not like hackers would waste money like that since all it takes is a demo to catch them and have them banned permanently, at which point they wasted their money, but if that's the policy, then that's the policy. The voteban timer is too short to kick up a fuss over it.
