GeistNinja 0 #1 Posted May 21, 2007 Hi, I recently found this forum. I never knew that something like this existed. Anyhow my CD finally broke and I am looking for an available download somewhere. Can someone point me in the right direction please? Much appreciated...
Speedy 11 #2 Posted May 21, 2007 Hey welcome to the forums. Go to the url in my signature. It includes a crack so you can play without a CD. You will need WinRaR to extract it which you can get here: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm (It says it's a 40 day trial but i've had it for alot longer than that and it still works)
GeistNinja 0 #3 Posted May 21, 2007 Wow, Thanks alot. I'll get to downloading it when I can. I haven't played the expansion pack yet, but I have been meaning to. Also are there still people playing multiplayer? How big is the file?
[LOT]rundown 3 #4 Posted May 21, 2007 Yes, there is still people that play multiplayer. Usually on the weekends there is a bunch of people on. I would say the file(the game) would be about 500MB or somewheres around that region.
Speedy 11 #5 Posted May 22, 2007 The archive is 532MB and the extracted files are 787MB.
GeistNinja 0 #6 Posted May 22, 2007 Is it an image? Or is it a program?
GeistNinja 0 #7 Posted May 22, 2007 I'm actually very new to the game. I have never played this game online before. I got to play this game through my uncle. I absolutely loved the storyline and the four warring clans. I'm hoping to catch some of you online sometime. I have to admit, I'm very bad at RTS games. What are some of the rules for online multiplay such as yin/yang cap? Pop cap? Tower cap? Rice/water cap? Horses cap? etc... Or is it all unlimited? Speedy 11 #8 Posted May 22, 2007 Is it an image? Or is it a program? It's the files that make up the program, you just need to put the "Liquid Entertainment" folder in your Program Files.. C:\ProgramFiles\<folder goes here> I'm actually very new to the game. I have never played this game online before. I got to play this game through my uncle. Maximum:- Yin/Yang/: 10 Population: 40 Towers: 4 (Need a Town Square or Keep to build more than one.) Rice/Water: I'm not sure, but if you stockpile resources you could have alot more than you would ever use. (Town Square & Peasant Huts allow more rice + water to be stored.) Horses: This depends on the map and game settings. For example I could make a map with the Map Editor/Worldmaster with literally hundreds of horses that you would never be able to accommodate. So there isn't really a limit on horses unless you want to.
COLD+187 0 #9 Posted May 22, 2007 Everytime I try playing the version i got from the download it says: Could not load textures.H20. Then it stops. How do I fix this!
Speedy 11 #10 Posted May 22, 2007 I'm running the game from that download with no problems, and I just re-extracted it from the .rar archive and that works fine too. Obviously it can't load the texture files.. Perhaps they don't exist or they're corrupted, try re-downloading it or re-extracting it. Other than that I have no idea what you could try. When you extract it where do you put the Battle Realms folder?
COLD+187 0 #11 Posted May 22, 2007 Okay, It seems after I don't have the file <Music.H20> in the sound folder so if anyone can email it here it would seem to fix my problem. Also when i got this it did not come with a "liqiud entertainment" folder and I seem stuck. Ohh email- [email protected] and I put it in the same folder i put the download in local disk F and a folder within it
Speedy 11 #12 Posted May 22, 2007 Sorry it's not Liquid Entertainment it's Battle Realms. And yes I'll send you that file. EDIT: Just tried to send it but the max I can send in an email is 10MB and the file is 246MB..

GeistNinja 0 #14 Posted May 24, 2007 Hi, I am having alot of issues downloading Battle Realms and the expansion pack. It keeps on getting cut off. I have DSL, but the download speed is always 5 kb/sec. It is almost like being on a 56k modem again. Do you guys have a torrent for it?

Mana 3,867 #16 Posted May 24, 2007 There will be an announcement on this later but: As per request of Liquid Entertainment any and all links to BR will have to be removed. Thats why the website download has been removed as well. So if anyone wants to recomend a way to get the game whitout buying a CD would be clicking one of the ad links above (or using google) to buy a digital version. If you do not own a credit card.... That's not a problem! You can use the pre-paid debit cards that can be found in most grocery stores . So sadly I will have to start removing the BR download links from the sigs of users. Sorry, nothing much I can do.
Speedy 11 #17 Posted May 24, 2007 Damn did they give any explanation? It's not like it's ruining their sales or anything, the game's 6 years old!

At least then if someone comes to this site they'll know the game is still legally available. If I ever need this game again though with little hassle I'm sure Ben and some others will keep their uploads.
