Replay F6 Option

I'm not really sure why some servers don't allow this. However, I was wondering if I brought up this topic here, it might be in consideration. I've wanted to save a lot of nice round replays so I can see how I can improve myself but the option isn't available. If the admins could hear me out and consider lifting the disability of replay I'd be appreciated. =).

Oh, also I mostly play in 24/7 badwater and the stocks maps.

Hopefully this works out. I'm sure we've all had some epic moments on the servers we've wished we could re-watch. Like killing 4 people running across the bridge on 2fort with 1 well-placed Machina round.

I noticed that this option was enabled on the servers yesterday and it was a bit laggy. I am not sure if that was just steam or the fact that there were replays. . .

Finally, for the first time in gaming history developers release a movie making tool that fits my needs, and simple to use. And luckily for me it happens to be for the game I'm playing regulary.

BUT... The only server I'm playing on - doesn't support it... How fair is that..

Ever since replays came out I've been checking forums every now and then, even checking this thread numerous of times in hopes that something changed. But, as you can see - nothing.

Sorry for bumping an old thread, just wanted to share my thoughts on this sad issue.

The only reason there isn't replay is that it bogs down the servers causing lag. Even VALVE has removed it from many of their official servers for this reason.

There's really no reason for it to cause these issues if it was threaded properly. Instead it pauses the server while performing certain functions (on a server that has lots of replays).

Otherwise we have plenty of unused ram and could enable replays on most if not all of our servers. Some of our server boxes have upwards of 16GB free ram during full load.
