creation 1 #1 Posted October 17, 2011 Been kind of frustrated on the dustbowl server lately. Ever since that F2P patch it seems like the number of hackers in tf2 has increased, and it's really difficult trying to get 85% of the vote. Badkids like creative design and boomboompow are in the server a lot, and we always end up getting it to a vote and having something like 17 yes votes to 4 no votes. 85% means only 4 people in the server need to vote to keep the hacker for him to stay, assuming everyone votes and the hacker votes no. I don't think I've seen an admin playing more than once or twice since I started playing on the lotus server as well. My point is that it would be nice to drop that 85% threshold to something a bit more reasonable (compared to the votekick one of 70% and scramble at 50%), since it's only a temporary ban, or it would be nice to see more active admins on the server. Thanks for reading this, creatiOn
ReconPWN 10 #2 Posted October 17, 2011 You should just record a demo of them hacking with their SteamID, time and date, server, yadda yadda. And put it in a ban request, a temp ban won't stop them from coming back, it's better to do the more permanent method.
Barbaro 466 #3 Posted October 17, 2011 Which Badlands server are you talking about? I haven't seen this kind of insanity.
creation 1 #4 Posted October 17, 2011 This is the 24/7 Dustbowl east coast server. Going through the hassle of making a demo, recording their steamid, and creating a thread is neither an immediate nor a permanent solution. They will just make a new account if they feel like hacking some more.
eparttub 7 #5 Posted October 28, 2011 Add me on steam and give me a holler when you see a hacker. Afronanny is boss. except when i own him when he decides to snipe.
