Hacker With 25 Unique Steam Id's

Recommended Posts

There is an issue that needs to be addressed. There is a hacker who has been repeatedly banned on multiple accounts who keeps coming to your servers on a different account doing the same thing - aimbot, no spread, wallhack, etc. It's getting extremely frustrating and calls for ip bans before have not been addressed in the Ban Request forum so I'm bringing it here (where things seem to actually get looked at, sorry).

We need an IP ban. With F2P, it just takes minutes for a hacker to make a new account and come back again. The rate at which ban requests are processed (weeks, sometimes nearly a month) are not adequate to keep up with this guy.

He plays almost every night and is trolling your 32 man Dustbowl servers. We (I speak for members of the clan DB, and some members of the Loco' clan) are losing patience and are sick of playing with this guy.

In fact, an IP ban is not a sure fire way to eliminate this player as there are ways to circumvent that as well. There are no Lotus admins that regularly play on the NA Dustbowl servers. Something further needs to be done. A possible solution would be giving trusted members/regulars of the Dustbowl servers admin status so that we can police the servers on our own. This hacker almost exclusively plays on Dustbowl.

If this player is not removed permanently in a timely fashion, or some direct action is taken to ameliorate this problem you can expect me and members (if not all) of the DB clan leaving Lotus and moving on to another community. Not that we are that important, but I guarantee the Dustbowl 32 man servers will take a large hit as DB primarily plays on these servers and helps keep them going.

Jeebus how many times do we have to ban this guy? The count is 9 so far.

Banned.

I wonder when this guy will learn....he's had a total of 13 accounts banned from our servers.

Yeah same guy from Carrollton.

Other SteamID's submitted directly to Mana for banning but have no associated ban request. These were gotten from other servers and verified to be the same player. Mana can verify this.

A regular admin on the NA dustbowl servers would be great, as this hacker pretty much kills the server anytime his presence is made known.

Frozen is correct and does speak for Loco as well.

I run into hackers on your dustbowl server about 1-3 times a week. I had no idea it was the same guy/s doing it. The hacker does clear out the server.

I do think Frozen has a good idea about giving some boot/ban privileges to your most frequent/dedicated players.

Since there are a few people who frequent your servers, they could police it as well.

Perhaps server admins can friend players who have lots of time in the servers. That could work as well.

I agree with taking further action 100%. He was in there today and takes joy in frustrating people. I think this is his most current:

The worst part is some of the people in the server either can't tell he's hacking or don't care so when you voteban it never gets passed. Please help!!!

Seems like recently there have been many hackers in Lotus server. The lack of active admins and high percentage needed to voteban are contributing to this issue. Out of all hackers, the person posted above is the most obvious and active one. He doesn't even try to hide his hack because he knows that if he gets banned he can just easily create a new account and come back. Something really needs to be done about this. I am not sure if IP ban will solve this problem since I believe people can change their IP easily. However, with all the experience of running multiple servers, I am confident that Lotus admins can come up with a solution. We truly enjoy playing in your server, please don't let us down. Thanks.

This. I have played with the hacker multiple times and it is incredibly frustrating. Other players will rarely pass a voteban which usually results in killing the server.

I'll IP ban him again.

Good... but he will invariably be able to change his IP again. I agree with the others that some of the regulars on the Dustbowl servers should be allowed to police the servers, which would help to decrease the time needed to react to this problem.

Which one of those steam ids is the newest one? They don't have the same IP so I'm not sure if I banned his current IPs or the old ones.

Just an FYI, if his IP is changing he is either using a spoofer or he is on a very rocky DSL connection. I would suggest not IP banning as you could end up banning someone you may not want to by mistake.

Thanks for the response. I noticed the thread was moved too. It's just that this has been going on for so long but not dealt with that it couldn't wait any longer because it was affecting so many people (as shown above). I appreciate the IP ban.

I agree that he will probably change his IP again, but I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens (i.e. if he comes back, which I believe is likely if he already has more than one IP logged on these servers) before moving on to exploring other solutions I suppose...

If you see someone who is a problem, contact me on Steam, and I will take care of it.

Thank you. Hopefully I won't have to bother you too many times.

I do not claim to have any technical expertise, so what would you suggest we do instead?

Well said. Lotus servers have been great to play on, however lately my time was split 50/50 between actually playing and making demos of hackers, and I was just sick of it... hence this thread. Glad to see that the community has sort of banded together to try to eliminate this hacker and make the servers as hack-free and enjoyable as possible. Thank you all.
