Ghost_Jor 583 #1 Posted October 9, 2012 First of, his name wasn't "Red Beete", but I know it was him as his name was erd bettle, and someone told me he had to change it after getting banned beforehand. He also acted the same way as red beetle so I am certian it is him. I know Red Beetle from previous ecounters on the DoubleCross Server, and I already disliked him for his tendancy to say "owned" after every kill. He started doing it again (but as previously mentioned his name was differant and mispelt) so I told him to stop. Unfortunatly, I was doing awful and got dominated by him. I don't mind a little taunting but his reply was over the top, borderline spam as he typed "ahahahahahah" so many times. Fair enough, I didn't handle this the best but I didn't ever esculate to more than saying "Woops" after I improved and killed him. This went on, and I gradually stopped replying, but he didn't stop being disruptive and abusive. Mostly to me. I asked how to voteban, and to demonstrate, he tried to voteban me. Again the abuse went on, so I decided to votekick him. It passed, but he returned straight away, and greeted us with rasism. We tried multiple time to voteban, but it didn't work because (don't ask me why) we only ever got 60% of the vote I didn't at first handle it right, but it went on long after I stopped replying to him and annoyed most of my team. His disruptiveness ranged from "epic sentry ownage" after getting one kill, to swearing at anyone he killed. He also changed his name to Call^of^Ownage after dominating me. My Steam is messing up and not letting my upload photos, so you might have to trust my word. I'll try to get some more evidence, and hopefully it will work next time. The server was the 24/7 France DoubleCross, and I can't remeber when it started, around maybe 6, to around 7:15. EDIT ---- Got a link to his Steam Profile http://steamcommunity.com/id/theredbeetle
+Cactus 4,948 #2 Posted October 9, 2012 Please follow the Ban Request format found in the sticky. At a miminum, we need the SteamID of the player for whom you are requesting the ban. Beyond that, we require a demo showing bannable conduct in order to impose a ban - chat logs are not enough (nor are screenshots).
Ghost_Jor 583 #3 Posted October 9, 2012 Dam, sorry. Couldn't get into the ban request guideline before, so kinda winged it. Hopefully I'll get some solid evidence, but until then you may as well delete this thread, and I'll make a proper one with all the stoofs in it next time I catch him. Sorry. +Cactus 4,948 #4 Posted October 9, 2012 Sure thing. We have these requirements in place to avoid banning the wrong people, and ensuring that our response fits the exact behavior being reported. There are shades of most bannable actions (except maybe hacking), and we deal with them on a sliding scale. Locked per OP request.
