(1) In Front Of The Name

Could someone explain to me why every time I join a lotus server I have a (1) in front of my name.

Like this (1)L-r | Ultr@Bunny

Its not a game breaking problem by all means but it kinda annoys me.

Had that too yesterday. Restarted and it was gone for me.

A fluke. Talked to Xan about it and he said someone else may be using the name and that's why it had the (1) in front of it

mebeh there are problems with u connecting to a server, meaning it the initial connect gots disrupte and the server thinks there are 2 of u joining, that's why you could have the (1) infront?

on the other hand, I've never seen this before, except ppl who got disconnected without the server noticing it.

I tried restarting steam, changing server, and even when I get on the server at the first try, this happens 90% of the times.

Its some thing with the last patch I think, I've seen it a few times since then. TBH it makes me spec people cause usually its a sign of a name clone hack lol. But yea I think valve just broke something with connecting to the servers that dupes names sometimes. Your not the only one.
