l!k3ab0ss 6 #1 Posted December 28, 2012 Many times when I'm playing in the Lotus KOTH server (texas one) many people are afk : http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/1100268447116161238/306BB250F49C829807B9E0AA62005050691BA6DE/ http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/1100268447116394911/7F54A7621481DEABB98609B7042A146D77329694/ http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/1100268447117825503/5C9C6E5E8F003AA69351F7815F95CFC6AABC66B5/ I do know that there is a plugin that kicks people, but what I think happens is when another player walks by or through an afk, the afk player will naturally move a little bit and I think that counts as a movement, so many times the afks just go for rounds and rounds.. Is there anyway that maybe the afk people auto transfer to spec? What else annoys me is that when I go afk, I put myself in Spec and then in about a min I get kicked for inactivity, but the assholes that stay afk without transferring them selves they never get kicked and just take up player slots ! ! ----- Another issue that I see is that people like going sniper/spy which is fine by me, if you can actually play! Many times I see 1/4 of the team being snipers/spys which cause us to get backed up into the spawn and get spawn camped which is no fun. http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/1100268447116358112/86FDA3969756578A279455163B12DB8961C9F4FF/ http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/1100268447116365025/103943401914B3CB51EDBDA6A12DBB54054D7F97/ as you can see in both pics, half of the team is snipers/spys. What I'm asking for is a limit on those 2 classes. Maybe 2 per each (which is still too much). I hope that something is done about those issues ! Thanks and sorry for the long read
Nano 7,892 #2 Posted December 28, 2012 I think mana can speak to your first concern. For your 2nd concern, the servers are vanilla, thus we won't be putting class limits. The reasoning for this has been discussed in other topics at length already as well.

Nano 7,892 #4 Posted December 28, 2012 Mana reviews all items on this section of the forum regularly, however if you don't have a response in a few days just bump this and I'll poke him with something sharp .

Thanks and sorry for the long read I can sympathize with you on both points Boss, perhaps it is the plugin, sometimes I feel that it itself, is not a perfect plugin/mod/setting and when people who are too stupid to simply leave the spawn and jump around, the AFKs get moved...and either reset the time they've been 'inactive' or deactivates it completely. A solution you could do if you start to see this many AFKs is to make an attempt to call a vote for kicking the said person by saying in the chat "vote-kick" without the quotes, then find one of the users and press the number that his name is next to, then put as reason...I believe it's 4, for AFK/Idle. It helps if you have a team that have brains and/or friends. After that, it's just spray and pray that the rest of the team isn't brainless and stupid and actually help out. (I'm sick of having to repeat votes because the enemy likes their spawn camp ;_ Second point, I think it's better to leave the classes without limitation, because besides slot whores that seem to play that certain class forever, you may find yourself to be steam-rolling your enemies so much, it wouldn't hurt to balance the competition by going a supportive class for the lulz. Some people just over do it and they think they know everything when they're a sniper with -1 as their score, or they're a spy, that doesn't know how to use their sapper? Possum 10,776 #7 Posted December 28, 2012 Yes I know that there is the option for vote kicking, but whenever I call out to people to do it ( on my mic ) no one cares, and no one does it so Just go straight for a votekick, most people will by reflex also try and get a votekick/click yes if the reason is AFK/Idle. Its not a perfect solution, but it usually gets rid of them....

In order for the vote to start, it usually takes about 3 - 4 people to actually type in !votekick b0ss
