Player had a constant 250 ping but was a very effective sniper. A player on my team complained of some HS they received so specced them and saw appearance of aimbot.

They seemed to tone it down after I moved to spectate but I still have a couple odd snap to head shots in the demo. It's not crazy evident, but if an admin could take a look at the demo and see what they think that would be great. It almost seems like their high ping inhibited the effectiveness, lol.

According to google they are banned on a couple servers, but hopefully the demo is more concrete than that.

Not a member, but I'll take a look

Ok, I looked at it, and there is a few sketchy kills/hits. It may be because if the lag, but this will help members.

While watching, I took note of 8 ticks in the video that seemed awkward. All ticks are approximate, since I can't rewind the videos without starting over.

Around 2000, 2800, 5000, 7500, 17500, 24000, 26500 and 28500. These are times when he should not have hit unless under some SEVERE lag.

Don't know what this means either, but it seemed like the damage bar while scoped on his sniper rifle never increased.

watched the demo... if this guy was hacking, he stopped when you guys started spectating... there are a couple weird head shots, but they look like just dumb luck laggy head shots, no twitching, or locking... and for the rest of the time, he is a fucking aweful sniper, like very aweful, missing easy shots on deployed heavies, this can also be because of his ping issues... this is exactly as I'd expect to see a sniper with 250+ ping, shitty, with the occasional lucky shot in his favor

Yeah, he got a lot less headshots once I went spec but that tends to happen generally, lol

His high ping seemed to me to change what you normally see with an aimbot, but it's so hard to get a demo that records the "feeling" you get from a player. A high ping isn't the end of world when sniping based on how TF2 physics work, but it doesn't generally translate into getting HS after HS. None of which I was able to get on the demo sadly. He seems to be a Lotus fan as he's part of the group on his profile and he's not a F2P hacker, so either he'll clean up his act (if he is guilty of anything) or someone else might get a better demo.

Thanks for looking.

I am unconvinced as well. As always, thanks for submitting Haz, but obviously we can't ban on that demo.

Locking the thread.
