Unban request with a bonus of admin abuse - L | ProLoser

Was admin banned by ProLoser for typing an insult in the chat log. Called him a "douche monger"

This was following him joining the server and instantly kicking someone for their name (was not justified.)

As the server was full of regulars we also tried to votekick him for being disruptive, got the vote started, only to have him cancel the server vote...

As for me... STEAM_0:0:20071069

No votekick, no voteban, no vote, just instant ban with a " :-( "

He then proceeds to send me a friend request on steam and tells me my ban is just 30min and wants to talk....

Your ban expired by the time you posted this by the way.

I kicked "numb digger" after I asked him not once, but twice to change his name.

He came back with "dumb N******" (name had been censored by the server) which he then switched to "dumb nigeria" claiming "it's my real name!"

Then I gave him a 30 minute time out, when I could have justified longer.

Then you raged about admin abuse, and tried to initiate a kick against me (cancel vote command is BITCH, no?.)

Then when you called me a "douche monger" I gave you a 30 minute ban so you could cool your heels. Glad to see how well that worked .

That isn't admin abuse.

Admin/lotus staff disrespect is a kickable/bannable offense. Not usually a permanent ban, although we've had a couple. This is why you only got 30 minutes. Pro is pretty much the top-notch staff member here right now, I wouldn't argue with him.

What I was trying to get across is that just cause I'm an admin, doesn't mean I'm not a player too. I shouldn't have to put up with your raging because I also happen to be an admin. And the time out was for all your raging, name calling and trying to kick the admin, included.

As clim said, it *is* a kickable/ban-able offensive. Looking through ban logs I see multiple other admins who have kicked or banned for much longer for the same thing.

condump doesn't cover everything from the session, so it's incomplete, hence why I removed it.

Since that request has nothing to do with what you think was abuse, and it's been clearly shown there wasn't abuse, this will be locked. If another staff member (who would evaluate unbans) wants to reach out to me directly on anything, they'll be able to read it and do so.

Insulting an admin can and will lead you into a shithole that is called "being banned". You don't have to respect him, but you also don't have to vocalize your disrespect in chat in an inappropriate manner.
