Check Out Tf2.gg, A New Lobby System!

Recommended Posts

We are proud to announce that after three months of work, TF2.gg (http://TF2.gg) is now released in its early beta phase. TF2.gg is a new game system targeted at both new and experienced competitive players that currently features:

- The option to use one of our servers
- Mumble integration
- Class picking based on 9v9 and 6v6 competitive standards
- Servers with UGC/ESEA configs and maps
- Solid backend consistently maintained
- And a clean TF2-inspired user interface!

Features that we are working on now and will be rolled out in the coming weeks are:
- Ranking system for creating balanced teams
- An easy ban request system which we will act on in a timely manner
- Live stats during each match which are searchable later

If TF2.gg is down when you check it, chances are that it's being updated. We are working constantly to fix bugs and release new features based on yours and top TF2 players' suggestions. For any questions or feedback on the site, feel free to add Pascal (
http://steamcommunity.com/id/pppascal/) or fill out the form from the website.

We are also looking for a UI designer, a front or backend developer, and of course, more beta testers! Add Pascal (link above) if interested.

You do realize you are advertising a different/community / server / website on the forums of a gaming clan which is in itself a community which in it's turn is kept together and growing by the existence of their own servers/website, right?

From my understanding, LotusClan primarily has more public play than competitive play. TF2.gg does not aim to take away from LotusClan. It's focused more on the competitive side of TF2, and is a supplement to help both new and old players gain more experience in competitive play. Personally, I'm a competitive player, but I play on LotusClan servers all the time. The two are not mutually exclusive - TF2.gg also does not emphasize the idea of a 'community' in the way that LotusClan does.

I appreciate your concerns, and welcome any more questions about TF2.gg!

Comp and pubs are two completely different things - this isn't going to steal any "traffic."

All I see is advertising other server that doesn´t belong under Lotus.

Not on me to judge does it belong here, but competitive, non competitive, public, whatever, it´s an ad.

Whilst it seems a little out of place I'll admit, Lotus doesn't offer what TF2.gg offers...they're two very different things - but hey that's just my opinion :)

If there was a lotus comp server, you'd be able to host it on tf2.gg when it gets released. You could even host your own server in a 6v6 or 9v9 format, like tf2 lobby.

tf2.gg isn't a server community like lotus, it's a hosting website for competitive games. So...it has nothing to do with advertising. Just raising awareness for competitve tf2 (which, quite frankly, is a great thing).
