Getting Unjustifiably Vote-Banned

Some douche bag was just trying to stir up shit and make people rage, blurting out random names followed by "is hacking, pls ban". I told him to shut up. Bad idea, I know, because now he's claiming that I hack, and for some reason the server is actually convinced that it is true. Someone, I don't know who, started a vote and it succeeded.

Is there a possibility of anyone getting punished? If not, then something needs to be done about the vote system.

I am sorry this happened to you.

It is a good system overall, but as all systems, you can't have everyting and sometimes every system gets to a moment where it backfires.
Obviously, it's only a temp ban... i know this won't help you now, but at least it's only that.

It would be helpful, though, if you could give a name, or even better a steam_id, so we can check this person and make sure that kind of behaviour isn't repeating itself.

It would also help if you could use the !calladmin feature (type !calladmin in the chat window) to call for an admin when this happens. If one is available, she/he can surely calm them down.

I have also temp banned Ninja Tortoise for chat spam within the past number of weeks.

Based on evidence and previous behaviour, a temp ban will be placed.

If repeated, the penalty will be much longer, and possibly (depending on his behaviour), permanent.
