Unban Request

Hi, I was recently banned from all Lotus servers. I would like to fight the ban. I was banned for... actually, I was never given a reason why. The ban reason is "Banned :(" and I have no way of communicating with the person who did the banning. I'm not even sure who did it. I know it wasn't a voteban, because no voteban showed up.

if I could get some more information about this ban, that would be fantastic.

8/1/2011, I was banned from SourceOP for "wallhacking". The other two bans you linked resulted in joint bans from SourceOP. I should mention that the person who banned me on SourceOP had doubts about doing it, but did it because "it's better to be safe than sorry".

Either way, those were over two years ago and shouldn't have any effect on my ability to play here.

Why am I being restricted for one silly admin's mistake two years ago?

in one year of me being an admin, I've never had a false positive on SMAC.

Well I was looking at a bunch of stuff, but it didn't end up mattering because...

We found your vac banned alt account (STEAM_0:0:49989660).

We were able to confirm that it is indeed your alt as both the Jigsaw account and the alt connected from the same IP at around the same time.

I'll take a moment here and head off the expected retort: I suppose you just forgot to mention that you've been hacking on other accounts and that you've gotten clean since then and the play was legit except it was your brother's roommate playing at the time the offense occurred so we should unban you because it really wasn't you to begin with except that maybe it was you and now you feel really bad and are very very sorry and it won't ever happen again and that the staff are just stupid and we have no proof and that lotus sucks and cry some moar?

Unban denied.

Actually, I forgot about that account. It was banned ages ago, and I'd like to remind you that hacking isn't the only way to get VAC banned. For example, texture mods like I used to enhance my FPS (my laptop was bad) triggered VAC2, and we all know that VAC bans are irreversible.

Also, if you think the inevitable reaction to a denied ban is what you posted, I shudder to think of what kinds of people you deal with on a daily basis.

Finally, this ban appears to mean more to you than it does to me. I just wanted to know the reason why I was banned. If leaving the ban despite what you see in the replays makes you happy, I'll just drop the request. I apologize for any time that I may or may not have made you waste.

Anyway, do you have any demos of legitimate gameplay that could have led to SMAC flagging you, or any other way of proving you are not hacking (competitive experience, leagues or similar things)?
