I have festive Gloves of Running and Festive Medics Crossbow, and Festive Force of Nature. I don't care about these weapons and won't ever use them, but I'd like to hear what you would be willing to trade for them. Maybe Winter keys or regular keys? Maybe a hat I don't already own?

The Festive, but not Stragnge, versions are selling for a 1-2 Ref, depending on the item. They were selling for Keys for only a few hours after people were able to start opening the crates.

 

I'll pay you the backpack.tf listed price of 1.66 Ref for the gloves.

Easy. You save up metal to buy other things. Other items, keys, ToD tickets, etc. It's how I've been able to complete 10 MvM tours, yet I only paid for tickets for my first tour. I've been selling stuff for metal and trading that metal for more tickets.

Even if someone bought all 3 of your Festive items together, they are not worth the value of a Key. Keys are selling for 6.66 Ref or more and your 3 items together, even at full price, are only worth 5.66. If it's the .66 part that is troubling you, it's just a way of saying 2 Reclaimed. .11 = 1 Scrap  | .33 = 1 Reclaimed. So 1.66 Ref is 1 Ref + 2 Reclaimed.

I don't have any items to trade and the only item you have that I would use the gloves. I have been converting anything I don't want into metal. Much easier that way as there are more traders buying and selling for money than there are people looking to trade item for item. Also, with sites like bazaar.tf and their "Buy Now" listings, it's really easy to find lower tier items for metal. I was able to get everything I needed to build my Specialized Grenade Launcher Killstreak Kit using their Buy Now option.

I never wasted time working the market until I got all those great items almost two weeks ago. After getting in the experience working the market, I know find that it's all very easy. With some of the better trading bots you can even make a lot of metal selling items that you don't have another class item to pair with it in order to melt it into scrap yourself. I can trade 1 Demo item and 1 Pyro item and get my 1 scrap from the bot that I would not be able to get via the in game crafting.
