I was just on the chicago fast spawn tf2 server and got banned after asking why I had muted some players who were talking garbage as to why they were not muted? I didn't mention why I muted anyone, I had muted a couple of them and could still hear them. I only asked why and they vote banned me after some name calling by them. Is there any way to avoid this?

We can't really control the way people play or act on a server. The best way if something like that happens, is grab a demo with a clear view of their steam ID.

 

Or even call an admin via the !calladmin command (but of course it could be you're kicked or banned by then)

You can add me also if Skaila is not around.  To get the steam id of everyone on the server open the console and type "status" (without the quotes).  Then record a demo or take a screenshot of the console, then close the console and continue recording or start taking screenshots of any abuse.
