Ctrl-Z 374 #3 Posted September 15, 2014 (edited) Yep, they even talk about Twitch in France, on Canal +, but not in the better way. Two reporters told that twitch was ridiculous because people watch other people playing video games and they have nothing else better to "do" (In french it was : "Foutre", but I don't know the expression in english). So, what's the difference with soccer ? You watch people who play soccer whereas you can go outside and play by yourself. And don't even talk about TV reality... That remark was so stupid than french video games community shouts on the reporters and made a petition for official apology. What a bunch of dumbass... - Mike - 2,728 #4 Posted September 15, 2014 Twitch is just the medium, not the source or cause. Plus, it's the idiots clicking on random links in chat.
Canti 386 #5 Posted September 15, 2014 Plus, it's the idiots clicking on random links in chat. This. The reason this lucrative trade exists is because people are not properly educated about online safety and/or general life lessons.
paulr 270 #6 Posted September 15, 2014 so is this a Steam vulnerability they are exploiting ? Edit , I just read up on this , somehow when you click the link it runs as a bot on your PC and logs into your steam account for you and then does its work... Nasty.
