Big Problem

Recommended Posts

I took a break from tf2 for 1-2 months. today I was trying to play again and everytime I try to start it and reached the main menu, it crashes my computer and I have to restart the computer. I already tryed to reinstall it but it didn't helped. any ideas?

Is it TF2 exclusively? Does any other game do the same? Try removing custom HUD/config if you have one.

I would suggest you go through the usual steps to troubleshoot if your problem is Hardware/software related. For hardware try shooting for individual stress tests so you can pinpoint if it's CPU/RAM/GPU/HDD/PSU and as far as software is concerned if it just started recently try to run back your steps on recent changes you've made also the usual scans for malware etc. I reckon it's most likely a hardware issue.

i changed my ram from 4gb to 8 gb but the game still worked fine several times after the upgrade.
