post pics/parts lists of your gaming setup! :D

heres mine:

EVGA GeForce 8800 GT 512 mb "superclocked" edition - going to run two at once as soon as somethings released that i cannot run perfectly (nothing at th moment)

LIAN LI PC-7B plus II Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - great box, had a lot of room, easy to install everything though the heat sync was annoying

ASUS P5N-E SLI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - very nice for OC'ing

CORSAIR CMPSU-520HX ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 520W Power Supply (a little excessive maybe, but its one of the best PSU's ive ever seen)

Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 Conroe 2.33GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - overclocked to 2.97 ghz (was at 3.5 ghz safely, but wouldnt post half the time for some reason, havent got around to trying higher clocking again yet) - withstood 28 hours of torture testing at 3.5 ghz when i got it to post though)

DSC_0018-1.jpg

Kingston ValueRAM 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 - overclocked to 850 to match processor speed

Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD3200AAKS 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - basic mid-high rpm hard drive, decent space, i have room for a bunch more if i ever needed neway.

LITE-ON Black dvd burner/etc drive with LightScribe - super fast drive, burns dvds at 48X Tongue little louder than i wanted though.

Tuniq Tower 120 P4 & K8 CPU Cooler - for overclock, its a BEAST i run it on low all the time and my cpu never gets over 50 celcius under load

also -

19" LG widescreen monitor

Razer Deathadder gaming mouse

Rocketfish metal mouse pad with "control" and "speed" surfaces (use control for sniping, speed for pretty much everything else)

and a Ideazon Merc Stealth Illuminated Gaming Keyboard - love the gaming pad on this thing, ill never go back to normal WASD gaming

The max write speed for DVDs is 16/20x :P.It's a problem with the disc getting too wobbly for the laser to read it.

Hah Apple Logo on your case. Now you can legally install Mac Os on it. Seeing as the Computer is Apple Branded. That shouldn't break their Eula :D.

I will be posting my specs later.

I'd like to post my current computer's specs, as it would be fun, but since I have a shitty computer right now, probably shittier than Draco's or Mana's Laptop (Mana, you have a laptop right? With wireless?), so I don't want to face public humiliation. If you want to guess some of the stuff inside, here are 2 pics that might help.

By the way, the comp was in my Mom's room when I took the pictures, that's why there's lame bed covers :P.

That's a nice keyboard you got there Nihility, just noticed it. Too bad it would never fit on my desk with the special gaming keys. Oh, and... it doesn't look as if your CPU heatsink has a fan. Is it hidden or is there just no fan and it's passively cooled? Just wondering.

Q6600 @ 3.2 gz, 8800 gt, 2 gig ddr2 kingston ram, 22" samsung lcd.

I'd post pictures, but I'm not sure I have any to be honest, and to be quite frank, I am far too lazy to take them (at this moment in time).

I have a baby computer, the hp slimline series. It only has an 8600 card, but it does the job. And I like small things so it works. :)

Oh, and I use my 32 inch LCD TV as my monitor.

But my computer consists of multiple sticks and berries I ran some copper wire through and put on a silicon potato chip. The RAM isn't the best, but it can run Crisis on very high at 120000x937890. Not the greatest, but I get by.

I meant like cutesy things cause I'm a girl...

However, there are SOME things that shouldn't come in small packages.

I'm going to take pictures of my tower, monitor, desk, setup, etc. Today most likely as I just finished a huge assignment.

I work while at school, so that's where I get the money to buy this crap. That, and I save like a beast.

I think it's time I revealed the shittyness of my PC. Sadness ensues when I reread these hardware specs... but then again, 4 years ago, I could run HL1 at full res with everything on medium-high... but then again, HL1 was released sometime before 2000...

CPU: Pentium 4 Prescott 3.0Ghz HT 800Mhz FSB L2 Cache 1MB

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 AGP 128MB (I don't even need to tell you the rest of this cards specs)

RAM: Generic 2*256MB DDR-200 (Timings 2.5-3-3-8 CR1)

MB: Asus P4SD-VL 800Mhz FSB Micro-ATX

HD: ATA 7200RPM 250GB 2MB Cache

Media Readers: 2 ATA CD/DVD Combo Drives, Floppy Drive, 24-1 Card Reader

PSU: 300W

LCD: 17" (obviously not widescreen) 1280*1024 (I actually don't see why they gave us this monitor, if I use that setting, everything gets a whole lot slower)

Other stuff is not really needed to be known. Speakers, optical mouse, keyboard are all the ones that came with the computer.

All information was taken from SiSoftware Sandra, a program that analyzes the stuff on your computer and tells you what's inside, useful if you go shopping for computers I found out. Just put it on a USB thumb drive, and without anybody looking, pop it in and check what's inside the machines. Seems like most desktop computer at Staples here still use ATA optical drives and hard drives. X_X
