Rambler 0 #1 Posted April 11, 2008 I'm bored, just finished 12 hours of grueling work, and was getting frustrated playing TF2.. so here I am! Soldier's my favourite... I am partial to Medic, Engineer, and Scout, but they all have their drawbacks. I get way too lazy as an engineer, I get pissed off at people who can't play offensively as a medic, the scout has too little HP. Soldier though. He combines everything. Good defense, great offense. Long-range kills are possible, and I love predicting where people are going to be and thus shooting my rockets so that they jump right into them. That's always a pleasure. PriiME 0 #2 Posted April 11, 2008 my favorites are sniper and spy because people never see it coming. im pretty decent at sniper but not that great at spy im working on it though. but it is great to get someone when they least expect it. demo is good for that too. i like to play demo a lot!!!!!!!!! Rambler 0 #3 Posted April 11, 2008 I used to be extremely good with spy and sniper in TFC. I'm not sure what happened between then and now. I'm also not sure what my preferred class was back then. I'm almost positive it wasn't Soldier. In fact, I don't think I ever even played Soldier really.
Doxt 1 #4 Posted April 11, 2008 I like the demo. You can be very creative with bounces/stickies or just send a lot of ammo into enemy territory to cause extra damage and chaos.
Camail 1 #5 Posted April 11, 2008 Demo, nothing better than ninja-stickies. 5 behind a column then 3 in plane view, they are so occupied by sweeping the 3 aways and along with my pipe bombs, they never see me coming. That and getting pipe-bombs to contact, I seem to be getting worse at that the more I use stickies.....
Rambler 0 #6 Posted April 12, 2008 I've been playing demo recently, and I got to admit, as a defensive class, they are amazing.
coda 1 #7 Posted April 12, 2008 depends on what's going on. I pretty much like all the classes *except* demoman. I guess I play spy and soldier the most though.
Rambler 0 #8 Posted April 12, 2008 Coda, you're missing out on the most over powered defensive class. I went 33 and 3 the other night defending on stage 2 of Dustbowl. I was dominating four or five people by the end. I have no idea why I've never used a demo before.
coda 1 #9 Posted April 19, 2008 haha, yea i recently started up demoman. pretty fun class, i'm not too great at connecting normal grenades though.
Rambler 0 #10 Posted April 19, 2008 I seem to suck with demo man now... It was such short lived glory! But I'm at least decent with him now, as opposed to the spy. I'd say I'm still by far the worst at being a spy. I really suck, and it's crappy. I'm just happy that we seem to have some spy happy people, and they do extremely well at it. Doxt 1 #11 Posted April 19, 2008 spy just takes practice. Go to badlands on some random 24/7 server and just keep working on timing it all out.

Mouse 0 #13 Posted May 1, 2008 My favorite class is the watch-your-brother-play class. I can consistently get him killed within 10 seconds of his respawn. So far, my top score is 36 kills. Then he punched me in the face, and I had to respawn and start again. Bummer..
coda 1 #14 Posted May 2, 2008 yea, i get lots of crits in real life.
DarkClaw 0 #15 Posted May 6, 2008 see if darkclaw will give you some tips. he is an amazing spy!! 4858 Thx for the compliment Priime. But being spy isn't only about the kills. Being spy means that you can get in and out the most easily. Grabbing intel, capturing/defending a point/bomb, other than the scout, it's your job to get there first (or second sometimes if you include the scout). If I just focused on kills, I'd have major points, but we'd lose. And it's also your job to get rid of small enemy installations (minibases, single turrets, etc) and clear out bases quickly and silently. Yup, this is why I LOVE BEING THE SPY. Challenge and adrenaline. The only thing that sucks is that you're so focused on the objectives sometimes that you get killed... A LOT. I don't mind though, if only they counted for more... the new stats rank me at #2179 because my kd ratio is only 1 because I sacrifice myself so much for those objectives (and I also don't play as much as I used to now because of school and my job, so I'll be sure to play harder and get up to at least the #1000s). Ah well, it ranks me as one of the best for backstabbing and killing with a revolver, so I guess not all is lost. Oh, and most people on lotus are my best victims, like Mana and Priime! XD
Doxt 1 #16 Posted May 6, 2008 Oh, and most people on lotus are my best victims, like Mana and Priime! XD 5258 yea but you're on the top of my victim list darkclaw
DarkClaw 0 #17 Posted May 6, 2008 Well, we usually play against each other the most, so I guess we can say that at least one other Lotus member is on your best victims list. And Doxt, you are position no. 5 for me.
PriiME 0 #18 Posted May 7, 2008 so i see me and mana are on there wut is my position?????

Mr Pain 0 #21 Posted May 7, 2008 i love being a heavy, creepin around a corner or jus comin in and sweepin up the trash, they're hard to kill with a good medic. Downfall: they have to have a good medic. Oh i also play medic alot, and i like to have fun as a sniper or a spy.
Camail 1 #22 Posted May 14, 2008 Pfffft, im' the reason you even touched the spy. Your hethan mind would still be tainted with the thought spies sucked if I didn't force you to play one .
PrinceKMA 0 #23 Posted May 14, 2008 well lets say scout.. because its fast..
DarkClaw 0 #24 Posted May 14, 2008 You talking to me about that Camail? I've probably been playing spy longer than you ever have . Ever heard of TFC? Been playing spy in that for a while before I went to DoD, and then to this. If you're not talking to me, ah well. Oh, and the spy was the first thing I wanted to play in TF2... again if you're talking to me Camail.
Woraug 0 #25 Posted May 21, 2008 I prefer heavy. I'm better with brute force, and slow moving, than having something quick, but weaker. I'm just an old fashioned tank whore.
