DarkClaw 0 #5 Posted June 7, 2008 It's true that after you flame someone like a spy with pyro, you start going after him with your ax XD So this will be a nice improvement on which those spies and stuff get away XD
Josh 18 #6 Posted June 7, 2008 this is bad DarkClaw, what are you talking about!?!!? When pyro comes out I can't be spy for like a month lol; everyone is going to be pyro getting achievements flaming every freaking person they see.. luckly I leave for Europe in 16 days and ill be gone for two weeks.. DarkClaw 0 #11 Posted June 8, 2008 Well, there's nothing wrong with it Spar13, because I usually don't get caught by pyros, and neither should you

Josh 18 #13 Posted June 8, 2008 but when half a team is pyro? what do you expect them to do? play with each other's flames? they are gonna spy check every freaking person ._.; Oh and im up on that offer
Rambler 0 #14 Posted June 8, 2008 Neat change. I've been looking for a reason to play Pyro more. As it stands now, they just sort of suck... most of the time.
DarkClaw 0 #15 Posted June 8, 2008 Spar, YOUR ON! And pyros everywhere don't mean a thing, just avoid them like normal people. And know where to be and how to act
Mr Pain 0 #16 Posted June 17, 2008 Finally an excuse to play pyro
Melissia 7 #17 Posted June 17, 2008 Pyros are fun for a heavy supported by a medic to take out, especially when covering corridors. Tons of pyros would also have a hella time dealing with sentries, especially on 2fort where you can put sentries underwater.
Dead Man Walking 0 #18 Posted June 17, 2008 any1 got any info on the other 2 pyro weps?
Doxt 1 #19 Posted June 18, 2008 nothing beats juggling a pyro with rockets.

You suck and have no life 203 #21 Posted June 18, 2008 I hope the other 2 pyro weapons are better. I hate to be a party pooper but, I dont think the axtinguisher will improve stats of someone using the regular flame thrower, althought it may be funner. Half dmg + Crit = Half a Crit. A full crit uber saw will not kill a 200hp soldier, thus a half-crit will for certain do less than 100 dmg. Furthermore, the normal axe has a 20% crit rate. So when you think about it. using a normal axe, 4/5 hits normal dmg. And 1/5 is full crit dmg. Vs a axtinguisher does 5/5 half crit dmgs. The damage output is probably almost the same. When you flame someone, most likely 1 hit from either axe will finish the person off. Also, when you flame someone and then switch to the axe, there is a time delay, which probably reduces your chances to kill. Overall, I dont think the new axe is better than the old axe, nor do I think the axe is a better alternative than using the straight flame thrower. Just my 2 cents. DarkClaw 0 #22 Posted June 18, 2008 You've got it wrong there. Normal attack: Half the damage of original axe Person on fire attack: Automatic crit which is the original damage of original axe "critified", meaning basically a crit with the normal axe. You suck and have no life 203 #23 Posted June 18, 2008 I see. This may have larger effect on higher HP units like Soldiers and Heavys. But for characters like spies, engineers, etc. If they catch on fire, its very likely that 1 hit from either weapon will finish the target.
