Team Fortress 2 Update Released (7/29/2008)

Well I pretty much already agreed with you in my original post about pyro's since they tend to get shafted most of the time, certainly with a purposeful suicide. Jengo, even as a solider, suggested several times for the point to be taken away from you since the suicide was your fault which makes a lot more sense when considering the million and one different situations that would put you in that position.

And the solider that scores for having thrown you into the air to fall and die is a bit different from being surrounded by attackers near you that cause you most of your damage (and should get the point) but at the moment of suicide an Texan with a wrench across the map scores by tapping you with a pistol shot. The issue is not black and white and goes beyond who scores a point or how many points, but why they score it, and the logic behind it.

And no ones mad. But jumping into an thread where pretty much everyone involved does know how to play to some extent or another and are having an essentially constructive discussion just to spill the typical 'L2P' and 'stop whining' is just tiresome. At least have the courtesy to respond in an equally constructive way and not to directly or indirectly insult everyone, in this thread or not, whos view might differ from yours.

Ok soooooo....air compression does nothing for you? Because last time I checked it is a great skill that can singlehandedly stop any uber, stop a soldier in his tracks, and clear out pipebomb/sticky spam. Its a fundamentally good class if you don't set yourself up for failure. And a demo vs pyro in actual gameplay should be a rare conflict because they should never be on the same plane, one should be long range, the other short. Apart from our servers and all the other 32 slot ones which promote spamming and meat shielding. Try a 24 slot or and 18 slot if you want to get to the core of a class fight. I've been looking for a good 18/24 slot ( ours is very slow :() so until then whining about other people whining leaves you with just as much respect as the ones you attack. Now I'm not one to say anything because I voice my opinion a lot, but after voicing it so much my opinions have evolved into this argument. The game is a shoot em up with 15v15, but if you want to play tf2 the way it was made, 9v9 and 12v12 are the only viable options. Sadly most people suck and support there lack of skill with luck spams in 15v15, which is why are servers are so popular.

I'd like to see a smaller sized server (9v9 ideally) with a more competitive feel to it.

I'm tired of being blue and being roflstomped by 10 demos spamming the field with nades.

9 on 9 with class limits (2 medics, 2 demo men, 3 of anything else max) would be amazing.
