Cafe Mod Is Banning Me

I tried to join Lotus Clan servers today, which it's probably been a long time since I was on (I picked it out of my history), but I was blocked from joining due to the game saying my steam ID was probably a cafe steam ID. I didn't even know what a cafe steam ID was, although I kinda inferred it from the text. So I broke out Google and found a post from voogru at forums.voogru.com about a plugin/mod that blocks steam IDs that appear to be cafe IDs and thus blocks a whole bunch of cheaters and other undesirable types. Fair enough, sounds like a good mod, I hate cheaters as much as the next guy.

But unfortunately, rather like legit email caught in a spam filter, I'm a legit user who would like the privilege of enjoying your servers who is caught in your cafe ID trap.

I'm not sure why my ID is one that would appear in your range. I bought my copy of TF2 on steam like everyone else. I'm just a normal guy from San Marcos, California, who likes to play TF2.

Normally I'd just move on to other servers, and if all else fails, I will. But:

(1) you guys have nice servers with nice connectivity and good action

(2) if your mod becomes more popular, I could see myself being filtered from a bunch of servers

So I don't know if your mod is auto-updating or if you release new versions with revised banlists, but I really hope people aren't downloading the current version to their servers with my steam ID banned, that would be a bust.

So anyways, if you could let me know on this I'd really appreciate it.
