Mana 3,867 #2 Posted August 4, 2008 Usaully when i go in a game with lotus members they are all on one side, Do you think maybe we should mix it up a bit? It's impossible for us to stack. We play with each other, as friends. So we play on one side most of the time. If we joined a random server and then joined one team... That might be stacking. Doxt 1 #3 Posted August 4, 2008 This is a team game, lotus plays as a team.

You suck and have no life 203 #5 Posted August 4, 2008 There are so many reasons to team stack: 1. For the lotus team, we get to own the newbs. Games just like everything in life, is more fun when you dominate the others. 2. We are teaching the newbs a lesson. There is nothing more motivating for you to start not sucking when you get your ass kicked. Look around you, most people who work the hardest in life usually had very little growing up. 3. For the newbs who get frustrated, maybe they realize TF2 isnt meant for them, and that they should go read a book.
Captain Falcon 0 #6 Posted August 4, 2008 I guess you guys are right lotus is a team and this is a team based game, makes sense to be on the same team but isn't server popularity important and won't noobs get pissed by getting owned so hard?
Mr Pain 0 #7 Posted August 5, 2008 As the weeks go by, we encounter less and less "NOOBS" because the game has been out for a while now, at times even if we stack lotus members on one team we lose, but we learn from that loss so that we won't lose again in the same way. That's what makes a team and we're a team, and the team stacking u speak of can be called practice

That's what makes the server popular. An active clan playing on the servers. If they get owned so hard they might decide to join up and as such play again. If they get owned once and leave and never come back... Whatever.
Readyakira 0 #10 Posted August 5, 2008 I don't see the problem with "stacking" We are a clan, we play on our servers. For one reason cuz the servers are stable. But mostly because we like each other and enjoy each others company. If you and one of your friends was to go to a random server you would want to be on his team so you can all talk together as well. We just do things on a grander scale. LCFTMFW
orajn 0 #11 Posted August 5, 2008 Team stacking shouldn't be allowed because it loses any sort of fun in the games. To me, team stacking is where the teams are one sided. One team keeps dominated over the other. Last night I played with a bunch of Lotus members and even though most of you were on the same team I didn't see any "ownage" coming from Lotus, so in that sense, it's okay. But what was really troubling was that you guys were wanting to vote kick some one for complaining about the clan being on the same team. But even though you're a clan doesn't mean you can't play against each other. You save the team play as a clan for the scrims and matches, not during a pub server time. Where does it say that you have to play together 24/7? I've been in a number of clans during TFC and loved playing against clan mates. It lets you know the strengths and weaknesses of everyone through experience. Why hold hands and lolly gag together all the time?

I've been in a number of clans during TFC and loved playing against clan mates. It lets you know the strengths and weaknesses of everyone through experience. Why hold hands and lolly gag together all the time? We have practices for that. Simply put: We play how we want. Usually it's on the same team, but not always. Besides most of the members can be auto balanced as well. As I already said: Lotus Team Stacking is impossible on Lotus servers. You (random players) have no merit when it comes to saying how we should play on our servers. If you do not like us playing on one team then get your own server. The only way we could "Stack" would be on other servers. SrSLY: Next person on the server to complain about us "stacking" gets 20 explosive barrels showed up their ass. Yes they explode in TF2 as well, not just HL2.
Alucard winrar 0 #13 Posted August 5, 2008 But what was really troubling was that you guys were wanting to vote kick some one for complaining about the clan being on the same team. That was just one of us screwing around, everyone voted to keep him and the vote got canceled anyway. Although that one of us would do that did disturb me too. Last night I played with a bunch of Lotus members and even though most of you were on the same team I didn't see any "ownage" coming from Lotus, so in that sense, it's okay. Mana, were gonna have to step up the practices
You suck and have no life 203 #14 Posted August 5, 2008 Team stacking shouldn't be allowed because it loses any sort of fun in the games. Then explain why when I'm on the the winning team, im so happy just like that fat kid who gets cake? Explain please. Team stack is part of real life. You don't see the Jamaican bob sled team call the rest of the world team stackers.
orajn 0 #15 Posted August 7, 2008 Is there some sort of official definition of "team stacking"? I thought it was meant as one team clearly dominating over another. A good shuffle every now and then can only help the game stay competitive and fun. What I was saying was you guys weren't team stacking since the team you all were on clearly wasn't dominating. Others might see it as team stacking because they see all the clan members on one team and might lose interest in the game. of course, with you guys they shouldn't. And you're probably happy when you're on the winning team cause you don't have to worry about sucking and probably don't win that much.

Mr Pain 0 #17 Posted August 7, 2008 Many times in the game when one team is dominating the other what happens is players from the losing team start to leave and other players join in on the fun and the teams tend to balance each other out or the tables turn on the dominating team. If ur on the losing team well u can always complain and give advice or make way for others to join.

It sucks to get owned on any server its a matter of pride but the truth is if you are competitive getting owned makes you play harder and improve your game.
