Speedhack: Sandvich (multiple Names)

Recommended Posts

Pretty obvious speedhack. He even called it "going over the speed limit" once or twice, but that's not in this demo.

His name in this demo is Sandvich, but that's likely not his primary.

Steam ID is STEAM_0:0:5305833, and is verifiable inside the demo as the dev console is recorded too. status command is issright around where the cheater dies from the turrets and my spectate switches to a BLU sniper.

Following the kick vote, he came back with numerous nicknames, including slight permutations of existing usernames. There were at least 4 votekicks and 2 votebans. The votebans failed because a player who seemed to be his friend voted against banning and the required votes seemed to be 1 less than the number of people on the server. The votekicks of course didn't do any good because they'd just disconnect and reconnect with a different name.

I recorded some separate demos of this, too, but his name changes multiple times and the subsequent demos may not have his Steam ID visible.

Time is around 3:00 US Central time, August 26th, 2008 (today, about an hour and a half before this post)

EDIT: On 24/7 2fort #2 I believe, and if not, 2fort #1.

Thank you for reporting this. I will deal with it immediately.
