Fuck Comcast

so me and my friends own a house together down the street from where we go to college and we have comcast for tv and internet.....make that just tv. the internet just cuts out randomly every so often and all we can do is wait until it resets. The worst part is that we think they are purposely doing it when we start using bittorrent. fucking fags. anyone else ave problems with these fuckheads?

I've had a few problems with Comcast, first being, apparently the signal is too strong to my house, so my cable modem has about 6 of those little coaxial connectors on it to dampen the signal, never had that happen before.

I also has many, many problems using the standard vanilla bittorrent client. I switched to uTorrent and it has worked out much better for me. uTorrent I believe has an option to encrypt the fact that it is a torrent file in case you suspect them of throttling torrent traffic, which they were caught doing a while ago.

Yeah, I've heard some pretty bad things about Comcast, but never have had it myself.

Had comcast for the last 8 years or so at various locations. Only issues I have had is when there is power outtages or something. which has only been a few times.

I have comcast, it was good for a while but in the past year or 2 it has gone to hell. There have been many times where for several hours i lose both internet and TV. I really wanna help rape them, preferably with their own cable.

not all the customer service reps are dumb, most are just lazy and enjoy laughing at you.

i was one of them. although, there was this one southern guy who called me, and he didn't know how to use his mouse, and i thought it was kinda cute because he was like 90 and all he wanted to do was check his email, but didn't know anything, and couldn't get on the internet and the moon fell on his house.... ANYWAYS, that was a fun 1 hour conversation. most other people calling in were douches though

Don't get me wrong. I am not saying ALL reps are morons.. but they seem to have more then their fair share. I did service for AOL and have seen both sides of the fence. We had reps that were just complete morons and shouldnt have a job that required them to talk much less help someone. I'm just saying if you look into comcasts record, there is very little positive to it. Heck even verizon who I have an utter hatred for at least the service is good even if the support side is pathetic. It's funny how you can call a company like verizon, and if you want to sign up for service there is almost no wait. But once you are a paying customer under contract, and you need support, you call and sometimes have to leave a message and get called back? I mean really wtf. The paying customers should be the one getting first dibs.
