Problem In Your Servers...not Me But....

Today and for a few weeks now I've noticed a clan in your servers that IMHO is getting a little out of hand. The -G- or glazed clan has started to become something of quasi-admins latley. I watched them kick or ban several players today over a matter of a few hours with the votekick or voteban feature on your server. Its a good feature IMHO but these guys are abusing it to an extent as to become quasi-admins now. If they have enough people on the server they have no problem kicking and banning whoever they like. A person named cream puff threatened and then had banned another player around 3:30 pm est. check your logs and you will see the threat and then the ban. I've watched them do this on more than one accassion now. And to be frank, I am a little concerned that I or one of my own friends will incure the wrath of these people. They also have started to unbalance teams to the extent of people leaving your server. Please for the sake of your casual and weekend players would you please do something about these people and they're bullying of the server.

To ban someone you need a vast majority of the server to agree with the voteban, and that rarely happens unless someone is hacking or trolling abusively. They currently have 17 members, so even if all of them were online, that's still not a majority to ban someone. Also, if these people have a problem with being banned then they can request an unban and give us more evidence as to them trying to take over our server. Considering that their home base is our stock server, we'll keep an eye out for them. If it gets bad enough it is not difficult to ban their entire group from our servers.

Votebans are not synced to the global maplist and expire shortly. They are there only to provide enough time for those interested to post a demo of say a hacker or someone behaving badly. The votes also need a high percentage in order to pass.

OK we(me and my friends) just wanted to let you guys know what was up. I think we'll stick to your other servers that these guys don't bully so much. Thanks for your fast replies guys.

We did see them have two succesful votekicks and one ban vote go thru in two hours. It was ether mongoose or cream puff initiating all votes. They initiated multiple votes over that time. Probably ten or more.

I just noticed that vote delay was off, I added it now. So no one should be able to just spam votes.

i've palyed with them on several occasions, they seem pretty cool to me, maybe u pissed one off, cream puff is a girl, girls tend to be quiet gamers, and she is a quiet gamer. for her to threaten you, you had to have done something, ppl don't get threatened for nothing

Votekicks tend to be initiated because someone is afk for an extended period of time. The stock maps server tends to have quite a wait and votekicks are really the only way to free up a slot so someone else can join.

Yeah, li we really only do kick people who have been afk for a long period of time, or the people who are really annoying. We have yet to "Ban" anyone from stock maps, let alone any server.

People are autokicked for being AFK every 6 minutes when the server is near full (24-33). That is 3 minutes being AFK in game and then being sent to the spectator team for 3 more and being autokicked.

Unless you are a donator in which case yyou have anywhere between 30 minutes to much longer depending on the circumstance...

I personaly haven't played in that server sence that weekend. But a few of my firends have. You guys think you run/own the sever from what they say. And your post sure makes it sound that way to me as well.

And yes you did ban two players the day I made that post mongoose.

It's impossible for them to ban people. AT most the voteban would last 2 maps max. Usually one or less. It's there to give enough time for players to post the demo while getting the hacker of the server if no admin is around.

OK, didn't know what the duration was for the vote ban. Sounds good anyways, but the horrible team stacking continues, And I see a lot of people complain about it. Perhaps a map change after a team wins 5 consectutive rounds would be something to look into.
