Banned From Tf2 Goldrush Eastcoast - Team F* Win?

I sat down to play tonight and saw that my usual server (TF2 Goldrush United States) was down, so I joined the Goldrush East Coast server. Since I've paid for membership, it let me right in.

Only to kick me out with some message about Team F***ing Win being banned. I don't see any reason posted as to why the team was banned, but I've disconnected from the group. I'm 100% certain that I've not done anything myself to cast aspersions on the group; I'm equally certain that I've done nothing to warrant a personal ban.

My steam ID is STEAM_0:1:8523701; please lift the ban.

Also, would it be possible to know why the group was banned? I can understand not liking the name, but is there something more?

I'm a decent person (in & out of game), a reasonably good player and I haven't done anything to deserve being banned, aside from being in a GROUP (not a clan, just a GROUP) of people who got banned. What will I do to prevent this from happening in the future? Realistically? Nothing. I can't *prevent* it. Even if you give me full admin, I could only prevent it from happening by shutting down the server. As long as the server is public, anyone can play. If ANYONE can play, then you're going to get people who spam. And you can't prevent it form happening. All you can do is deal with it when it does happen. Unless, of course, you pre-emptively ban people who might possibly cause problems... but the server would probably be empty. All I can do is play by the rules (be a decent member of the server, get demos when people are jerks, post them here, etc.).

So... that's the response? No demo, no posting (that I've been able to find) in the Ban Requests forum? I've read in other related messages that *something* happened, but I still have no real answer as to what happened. Would someone from Lotus kindly explain? Perhaps something a wee bit more useful than the terse "And so it begins..."? Banning people based on affiliation seems quite lazy. Instead of banning the specific people who offended, you ban an entire group?

Henry, not everyone in Team Win is an ass.

Geo is a pretty good medic, i don't think he started any votes but you still shouldn't just jump on the band wagon. This applies to everyone that plays on the server.
