aph 0 #26 Posted June 7, 2009 Well I found a way to keep it from freezing. Basically just lower your resolution and then when your in game change it back as soon as you join. It doesn't make sense but for some reason it works for me going from 1680x1050 to 1920x1200.. Sounds good, I'll try it later . Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Failboat 8 #27 Posted June 7, 2009 I don't think it's the MOTD. I set it up so that the MOTD couldn't load and it still happened to me. So, at least in my case, that's not the issue. BTW if you want to try keeping the MOTD from loading to see if it works then look HERE or do this: 1. Go to the Steam\steamapps\(username)\team fortress 2\tf folder 2. Right click in an empty space and go to New and then Text Document, this should make the file "New Text Document" 3. Rename the new file to: textwindow_temp.html 4. Right click the file and go to Properties 5. Check the "Read Only" back and click Ok And I'll give the resolution thing a shot right now. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
