Why Bots ?

I don't understand why we have bots on the UK dust server.

The reason ? well the whole point of multiplayer games is to play with actual people , adding bots to the server spoils the experience of online gaming , if i wanted to play with bots or with computer AI i wouldn't have joined an internet server , i would've made a game myself.

I can understand why you added bots , if people see the server empty it will be very hard to get that server full or anyone playing at all , if they see 20-25 people playing ( bots ) they will think people actually play there and they will join , but for how long is the trick gonna work ? at some point they will label the server a bot server and move on , i don't know for sure but i do know that no one wants to play with bots.

We gamers hate bots , we want to kill real players , there is no satisfaction going against the computer.

Another pointless observation , while i see the reason for bots i disagree it's an option to keep the server full , READ MY POST AGAIN , damn the "clever" people on forums who eighter kiss Mana's ass or they think they are "clever".

Yeah but if we are not 30 or something like this we still have some bots around , i see a message saying tf bots count 10 , tf bots count 9 ..... and so on.

If it can't be done it can't be done , it's just my recommendation that bots will ruin the game eventually , I've seen it on other servers , people join and then exit the server immediately when they find out they are playing with bots and they never join that server.

Also , ask around people and you will see most of them don't want bots playing with us , at least where i play they complain about the bots.

I made some changes, it won't spam the "tf_bot_count" anymore.

Its 20 bots or less and they auto vacate as players join. Meaning if you have 20 or more players on the server you won't see any bots.

I was trying to help teach my friend TF2 the other day and thought, why not take advantage of the bots. I created my server (I portforwarded, and he has my external ip to connect, played GMOD and CS:S off my computer all the time). So He gets in, but i cannot get it so its players vs bots. I tried the bot_fill(?) command to change the way the bots connect. Do you know the values id have to change to fix this?

Why do i assume some of you are losers ? because you are here talking about nothing picking on somebody for no reason , if you had something better to do like partying/fucking a hot girl/dating one/working a job......etc. etc. you wouldn't had time to come here , it's an obvious observation that everyones understands , and you can smell losers miles away.

While i'm not pointing the finger to an actual loser here i think everyone knows who is who.

I enjoy picking on kids insecurities but i really don't have time for this , i solved my problem with Mana so bye bye.

There is another problem with the bots other then the fact that alot people dislike them. While the server is populating the teams become unbalanced with the majority of the players being on one team and bots being on the other. This causes the rounds to become extremely unbalanced and making people on the losing side (usually 1-3 players the rest bots) leave further making the game lopsided. The game normally starts off with and even amount of players and bots on both sides. I believe the problem happens when someone leaves the game on one side and is immediately replaced with a bot causing a disadvantage to one side and as a result causing other players on the same side to leave as well. Players on the other team cant switch b/c auto-balance thinks the teams are even. This slows the the server filling up b/c people are constantly leaving. I should also say i really dislike playing with bots and i think the fake bots that show up in server info that the server had previously is plenty to jump start server population.

So are you saying that bots are not hard enough? They can easily become better than all players if that's you suggest.
