cant push uber nub 3 #26 Posted January 23, 2010 You sort of can. You can bind the quick inventory command to a key, use the row of numbers on your keyboard to select which slot, and click on the weapon you want. You simply have to be near a weapon cabinet. I have the quick inventory bound to shift, so if I'm playing, say, a sniper and I was using the sniper rifle, but we're trying to take the point and the defending team isn't poking their heads out, I'll hold shift, click on the Huntsman, run up to the cabinet, then poof, I have the Huntsman out. Fast enough, really. I meant on the fly, during game play, outside of the gun cabinet. your signature is lol worthy for sure. Shiny Charizard 451 #27 Posted January 23, 2010 (Most of the time) Kritz on defense and Uber on offense. This almost always. If you can coordinate with your team to have at least one of each nothing is more frightening that an uber/kritz'd Heavy bearing down on you. Then again a chain uber is terror incarnate as well. Melissia 7 #30 Posted January 28, 2010 Well, it's a multistage process. First, he's impaled upon a thousand spikes. Then he's set on fire. Then his corpse rots. Then that is set on fire. And then he's regenerated and the first one starts again. Oh, and the spikes are covered in acid. And his eyes are now made of fiery pain. And then there's the midgets. Let's not get into that.
Spartan_0214 18 #31 Posted January 28, 2010 You're going to rot in hell. If he played medic before the Kritz recharge got enhanced, then it's understandable. If he started playing afterwards, then no, it is not understandable, and he's probably not a good medic.
+Henry Spencer 117 #32 Posted January 28, 2010 I've never really liked the Kritz much, to be honest. 100% critical ordinance is nice, but nothing beats being invulnerable. Since they changed the charge rate, it's way too easy to get a full charge. It makes successful Ubersaw hits feel generally worthless, because you could've charged the damn thing just as fast by healing injured people. Plus, practically nobody can use the damn thing properly, even now. I don't bother playing Medic on defense unless I know I'll have someone who can make the most out of it (i.e. Miyari, asdf, phantom). It's a double-edged sword; it can be like hitting the reset button on a huge push, or you can just die miserably. My opinion of it has grown a bit over time though; now that Pyros are decent with the airblast, they can shut Uber Heavies down with ease. I'd like to see one shut down a Kritz'd Heavy. Melissia 7 #33 Posted January 28, 2010 I've shut down a kritz heavy before. As spy
Spartan_0214 18 #34 Posted January 28, 2010 I have gotten Kritzed by an enemy Medic before and it was glorious. Wonder what the medic was thinking when the demo he Kritzed didn't do anything but stare him down... The Kritz is a tricky weapon to use, but if put in the right hands it can utterly overwhelm an incompetent team or tip the odds against a better team. The main trick is to stay behind a wall while Kritzing your target but still retain line of sight. You simply must remember that you are still as vulnerable as you were before you Kritzed a teammate, and not only that, you are Public Enemy Number One as far as the opposing team is concerned. +Henry Spencer 117 #35 Posted January 28, 2010 Yup, that's what really bugs me about playing it. You are like an African elephant, while everyone else is a poacher armed with some sort of dangerous weapon. You can run, but you can't really hide, and you can't really fight back (compared to the heavier classes). What's worse is when your patient doesn't realize that the enemy isn't aiming for them, but me. I get killed that way far too much for my liking. I see a ton of enemies do that as well; a Soldier will be trying to take me out as a sword Demo, and I'll just be throwing pipes past him at his Medic for a free kill. Sadly, it's a mistake that even the best of the best seem to make in the heat of combat. More time for me to work on my dodging skills, yayyyy! -.-
You suck and have no life 203 #36 Posted January 29, 2010 Replying to Medic Weapon Choise Wtf is "Choise"??! Get off the internet/TF2 and read a dictionary, newb. You could have easily answered your own question had you actually PLAYED medic for more than 2 hours, just like you could have easily learned to spell had you finished 3rd grade. Melissia 7 #40 Posted January 31, 2010 I usually pay attention to who's on the top of the scoreboard mostly because those are the people I need to go after when I spy (killing the highest contributing member of the enemy team is more helpful than killing some noob who isn't helping his team much). And I've never heard of you.
