aod 0 #1 Posted April 9, 2010 Figured I'd post this topic in the correct section, my steam Id,http://stats.lotusclan.com/X/hlstats.php?mode=playerinfo&player=852 I keep getting votebanned by this specific donator, its been more than 30 mins, I'd like to get unbanned but i'd also wish anything can be done to prevent this donator from abusing his powers? aod 0 #5 Posted April 18, 2010 Ahh I'm sorry I made this topic before you told me on the other thread , ( I made like 3 threads in different topics so it can be seen , sorry.) To answer your question, his votebans did not work every time as evidenced by the demo I linked to in the ban request section, but sometimes they do because players really dont care sometimes, sometimes they just press yes for the heck of it, sometimes they dont even bother reading whether its a ban or a scramble or a skip, and just press any random button in order to continue playing. I don't know much about server handling and of course your have a lot of experience and doing a great job at it, but I dont really see the point of having a donator able to start a vote from his own, If there is a person hacking players would all start the vote, If a playyer is mic spamming, they would do the same, Sure the donators have more right to server obviously because they help fund it but you dont know which of them is a power hungry kid and a voteban abuser. PS: Not trying to tell you what to do or what your doing is wrong, just want to understand the reasoning, at the end what the heck do i know Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
