Hello,

I joined "Sarix's Den" while pubbing and bumped into the goof.

He was actually mic spamming some pop music of sorts, so I muted him from the start of the game.

Used name "1mpuls" with STEAM_0:0:33568020

While playing as soldier I've noticed a ridiculous amount of reflects from him and at first thought that I must be playing against someone worthwhile. Decided to limit the rocket spam when aiming directly at him.

I realized something was wrong when I was chased around the corner, and two rockets were deflected which haven't even reached his sight. One would have been a "good luck" at best. The second was less likely than winning $100 at a scratch off.

I spec'ed him for a few minutes, noticed that he was horrible at being a pyro (M1+W type) while he baited through walls and yet still.... reflected everything. Poor job at hiding.

Popping his Steam ID into Google revealed more than enough hits for me to know that I was right.

A pubber friend of his tried to defend him by relating that the accusations were due to the golden wrench hack, but these posts provided enough facts. Me muting him was probably the best move. His buddy was illogical as well and got a bit upset when I called out his lack of skill at detecting other's foul play. They eventually got frustrated and left the server, while the rest of us enjoyed a great game.

The psychology of cheaters hasn't changed for years, most get more hooked to the fact of cheats, rather than the actual game itself. Just as a pathological liar, the responses are sincere to the extent that they themselves believe them.

The fact that he's using a public hack will be evident once he gets this Steam ID VAC banned only to move on to another. All of the claims of "custom rcon hacks" and "scripts" are fluff just like the lack of legitimacy.

Don't make a big deal of it and just game on.
