a_puma01 7 #1 Posted May 10, 2010 my best friend shot himself last monday and i am having a real hard time dealing with his loss. I was asked to say something at his funeral. I am not very good at writing so i figured i'd ask you all what you think of what i came up with. Jon Kemp..... was a unique friend, something that could be said for all of us as we are all different and special but Jon was "My" friend and i his. I remember growing up, we used to walk down to the local gas station and buy liters of cherry coke and a pack of smokes to share. I often pulled him around on my bike while he was on roller blades. Sometimes i would show up late at night and throw small pebbles at his window till his light came on and he came down to greet me. Jon was the most loyal friend i have ever known. He was always ready to stand in with you even if you were wrong, always willing to stand up for those afraid to, and quick to make your mission his own. It is with great sadness that i come to realize i will not be able to make any more memories with my friend. I have a hard time at work when songs such as Queen's "Best Friend" or Floyd's "Wish you where here" are played and i almost lose it. I have had quite a few people i cared about pass away in my life time but none of them have impacted me as much as this. I guess i never Really thought about how much he means to me or to the rest of us here today. There is so much i wished to have said, A lot of what if's and had done's. I never envisioned a time where i couldn't just call him over for some Episodes of Top Gear and fighting games or a trip to denny's for some late night coffee. I miss my dear friend.. i wont ever have another like him. He will live on in my memory as a kind soul, unblemished and honorable.... I just really miss my friend. Paul Bunyan 13 #3 Posted May 10, 2010 That's deep, sorry for your loss. You can't say anything wrong unless you're insulting him (aside from jokes), don't worry about it. What you wrote is fine, as long as it's from you and you mean it.
Victoreem the V of doom 30 #4 Posted May 11, 2010 Its good that these people take tare of themselves. Premeditated Suicide is just another natural method of population control (like stupidity). However it is not enough. So lets touch on that. How should we revert the worlds population to a sustainable number. "Humane" or otherwise
