Krash 1,040 #5 Posted August 2, 2010 I am running a 24 at 1920x1200, I've always wanted to hook my computer up to my 52 in the living room. What graphics card are you using and whats your max FPS in TF2? Playing that big id imagine it would take some muscle.
Brokkoly 11 #6 Posted August 3, 2010 yeah, my computer sits right next to the tv, but the way it's set up, i can't get to the back of the tv
Mana 3,867 #7 Posted August 5, 2010 I split this from the other thread because it was going offtopic.
You suck and have no life 203 #8 Posted August 6, 2010 pixels matter more than size. A big screen with low pixels is trash. I have to turn my head to see peripheral and and still i only get to see like a 30 degree field of view.
Mana 3,867 #9 Posted August 6, 2010 pixels matter more than size. A big screen with low pixels is trash. I have to turn my head to see peripheral and and still i only get to see like a 30 degree field of view. That's why a 30 inch monitor costs as much (if not more) as a new 52 inch HDTV. Due to the much better resolution (amongst other things).
JonasV 9 #10 Posted August 6, 2010 Yup, that why I payed so much for my 24in. Crazy contrast, black, and pixels. Granted that was 4 years ago, but the same model is still over $400 now. There is no comparison between a monitor and a TV of similar size, no matter what the TV manufacturer claims. Next I think I'm going to start saving for a top end 30in Dell.
