Goldrush Demo Exploits

I've been really sick and tired of people exploiting on Goldrush, even after I have asked them to stop. Attached are 2 demos of people doing it.

This occured on 1/4/11 between 12pm Central and 1:30pm Central on Goldrush East #1

The first is Meat Jesus lobbing stickies over the wall of GR3.

The second demo is Lotus Recruit Wolf J Flywheel and [EA] watchablue [Kngtz] both using the stickies on gate exploit. I believe this is the exact same thing Da Jug Uhn Nut was banned for a little bit ago. Does Lotus allow their recruits to do this?

I was there. DeJa was there as well as most of the regulars on Stocks #2 (that was the server you were doing it on)

It's a temporary ban, and it will expire on January 19, 2011, unless Mana decides to reduce it.

Protip from a pro dustbowl player: don't stand close to the gate = u don't die

I really don't know if this deserves a ban but if it does i'll come here later with about 40 demos and steam ids

So my understanding is that it is OK as long as only 1 person is killed and it is not a medic with full uber? The reason I even made the demo was because Wolf had done it multiple times already which is why I started to record during the setup. It is most disappointing to see a Lotus recruit doing that on your servers, obviously shows everyone else it is OK to do.

The term "bannable" does not mean that there is a guaranteed ban for every single offense. A bannable offense is one that the user can be banned for, not one that they will be banned for.

What Meat Jesus did was not at all an exploit. The map is designed that way.

While I am disappointed to hear one of our recruits took part in map exploits, I will not ban anybody from a server where it will happen anyways. In other words it doesn't disrupt the server enough to warrant a ban, especially since neither of them really killed more than one person in your demo.

Da Jug Nut or whatever his name is, however, did disrupt gameplay. He killed multiple enemies at once, destroying medics that had 100% ubercharge. He did this such that a player could not leave the spawn without suffering damage. or being killed.

Consequently, he earned a temporary ban.

I noticed this thread by chance, and am only responding because my name is being mentioned. I have nothing to say about banning the other players mentioned in this topic and have no reason to.

Logic tells us that either all exploits are OK or none are OK. Otherwise, you are taking it upon yourself to discriminate between what does disrupt game play and what does not disrupt game play. While I accept my ban, it is time for Lotus to enforce their policies fairly and consistently. Not doing so only gives the impression that the server is being run by children

Edit: Also, admins calling regular players like Creampuffyness a "dumbass" is inappropriate, especially when that particular player is doing the admins a favor by bringing exploits to their attention. Both Creampuffyness and I have been particularly polite in our posts, and have been responded to vehemently by both Lotus Staff and Lotus Recruits. That is how children behave, not adults.

Well in truth, it is their servers and they can deem what is acceptable and what isn't, regardless of any outside opinions. They could demand you play TF2 on their servers while naked and live streaming it on the forums, or you can't play on their servers. They might not have a lot of players on their servers, but it's their rules and their server.

I'm for fairness too, so don't take this the wrong way, I'm just pointing out that you cannot tell server ops how to run their own servers.
