Two Disrespectful Flaming Donators (Barnaby + Brenardo)

Hello all.

Before I get to the actual report I would like to point out what is apparently relevant to it.

I had almost forgotten but apparently some friends of Xolid didn't.

Ban Request: Dr. Barnaby Jones + Dr. Brenardo

Date: December 17th 2011

Time: about 12:30 - 1:00 P.M. Mountain/Central Time (so about an hour and a half ago or so from when this post was created)

Server: 24/7 2Fort Insta Spawn | Chicago (65.60.32.26:27015)(Yes, the SAME server.)

These two guys named Dr. Barnaby Jones and Dr. Brenardo came onto the server, everything was fine, we were playing peacefully. Then as I speak to someone else (Rosie is his/her name I believe) all of a sudden they remember whom I am, though I don't remember them, and they jump on the opportunity to insults me:

You can see there at about line 13, one of them jumps in and a flaming war they attempt to start ensues, though I did not really participate seeing as it was a hint of actual hate instead of in-game playful anger.

Here are some screenshots of the flaming they attempt to continue. They apparently do this specifically to avenge Xolid it seems, probably friends of his or something I don't know. Either way they begin to act very disrespectful, hateful and all around crude in general.

These two guys obviously think, much like how Xolid struck me, that they are gods just because they donated and are able to get away with saying whatever they want to whomever they want. Ultimately degrading the experience for average clients like myself and others that were on the server at the time this happened.

They obviously feel they are untouchable which I'll admit, annoys me greatly, hence the motivation to come and report these two individuals.

They think that flaming is not an offense of any kind in any way shape or form. This I HIGHLY DOUBT.

I felt it unnecessary to spam this report with screenshots of their hateful tone and attitude specifcally towards me. so I will leave the rest of their little snipping hateful remarks to anyone who wants to check the server logs. I collected the majority of their hate, racism and disrespect.

Seriously...somebody needs to tell these guys they aren't god. I am not sure if massive flaming attempts are a bannable offense but I sure as hell know these guys need a thorough talking to by a higher power. Someone to let them know that they should be on thin ice for their in-game attitudes all around.

I'll have the admins take care of it from here. Also from what I have found, this is not the first time they have been going around using incredibly troll-ish, racist, hateful and foul language in-game as well as to particular people.

I don't know why they're erased, maybe donator... you'd have to ask an admin. And your chat history clearly shows you trolling and provoking us, whether you used cuss words or not is irrelevant. I have been a player on these servers for roughly a year or so, and ergo regard the community and the culture of the lotus servers rather highly. Until today I would have had no reason, however, to communicate within your forums save that the specific events of this ban request have called me to otherwise undisturbed enjoyment, specifically the nature of the player DarkTemplar and the exchange between this gentlemen and Brenardo and Barnaby. Lotus, and specifically the 2fort server, has always been for me the getaway for cathartic gameplay. I do not come for intellectual savor, or for a further extension of my societies' scruples and taboos, but for the veritable carnival of free expression and stilted vices that I would not otherwise be able to enjoy in the maudlin day to day. Had I come off the street to read the words of Barnaby and Brenardo, without any further knowledge of their character, I too would be offended. And yet, I have been privy to their nature for a much longer period, and so have come to understand that most of their purported hate and sniping is really a product of that same culture of these servers. Lotus to me has never been for the paper fleshed and droll, it has been the playground of the Id and the ego. I appreciate that, this is a culture that allows for the venting of daily frustration and emotion.

This gentleman, as previous posts and his own screenshots have declared, is nothing more than an authority appealing, pot stirring troll, whose character and temperance bear all the characteristic of tiffany (see: http://goo.gl/o63nn). These are not the words of a concerned member of a community, these are the snipes of a person who clearly regards longstanding members of this community with contempt, who white knights against self manufactured evils, and then comes limp wristedly scampering to an admin when those around him reciprocate. That is not to say the Brenardo and Barnaby have no faults themselves, I merely state that in the context of the catharsis community I so enjoy, these two acted as one would expect. Long have I played with them and long have I understood that their supposedly vitriolic actions belie those who enjoy the sometimes crass yet always alleviating server community. I ask you, with all due respect administrator, to drop these charges against these two gentlemen, as the product of a person who cannot parry hurt with bon mott or intelligence, but with stuttering insults and authority, who does not participate in the waltz of the id these servers provide, and who most importantly is clearly an ineffectual and unfortunate troll.

first of all, nice vocabulary. Second of all, it seems to me you are just taking sides because either A: they asked you to, B: you lack information, such as the fact that they were saying incredibly crude things, far worse than my "high school dropout, living in mothers basement" remarks which were technically third person and not directed towards them specifically, or B: both. If you bothered to get a screenshot like you should have to support your claim for these two trolls cases, maybe you would have understood that I was not calling them highschool drop outs that live in their mothers basements, in fact I was not calling them anything at all at that time. I was merely setting up a basic theme for the TYPE of people I disliked after someone asked something on the server. I appreciate you making that big fancy paragraph of well-written details of what you think of lotus and tf2, but no matter how nice you ask, it still comes back to the fact that they started it. Trying to counter it with no actual proof (i.e. SCREENSHOTS) is good, but not valid at all. I will remind you though that if you re-read the post, this isn't necessarily a ban request unless an admin feels it should be. It is to merely report them for disrespectful behavior, STARTING up a ruckus in the server and directing undeserved hate-speech, (and as you so rightfully called them) disrespectful sniping remarks and all around unnecessary complaining and trolling. If they deserve a ban then hey, that's what the admins decide. I just wanted their despicable behaviors and attitudes in-game to come to light and be seen and judged by everyone. A direct transcript of words you typed into the chat on the server we were both playing on at the time we were on, where you were talking directly to me seems like pretty solid proof to me. The thing is, you keep doing this over and over. Not that I am necessarily denying saying whatever it is you are complaining continuously about in a desperate attempt to not look like the bad guy, which my screenshots have easily portrayed you as, you are not showing proof of me saying this thing in-game. I guarantee you that if you gave me a screenshot and pointed out a particular phrase you would like me to speak of or explain. I could do so very easily but it would immediately shoot down your case of defending yourself. Just like the "highschool drop out" remark you seem to be referring to over and over which I already stated was 3rd person, and that particular remark and the few ones following it were NOT directed at you, they were directed at a sort of genre of people I dislike if you will. Since you seem to forget so easily, someone on the server asked me something along the lines of "Why do you care enough to respond?" or something of that nature. I then retaliated with describing the kind of people I dislike and often report. I was not calling you those things directly, It was a comparison. Are you going to lay off of this one quote now that I have fully explained it or are you going to continue a senseless argument of deformed "NO U!"'s?. The admins don't judge who has the better opinion or expression of the other person, they judge it based on the proof presented. That is why you are still in pretty hot water here. So the second claim you make as to the nature of my misunderstanding is groundless via your own evidence. Secondly I am not the patsy of Brenardo and Barnaby, I merely came to this forum out of curiosity to find out whether or not you would have the gall to /actually/ post here. Frankly, I find that a server specific chatlog detailing your hurtful remarks to be just as valid as a selectively taken screenshot of another chatlog, and in fact more comprehensive as they lie outside of your domain to doctor by hilighting what they said and at the same time covering up your own stumbling jabs. Furthermore, in your reply, you validate these objective chatlogs by actually confirming that you had said such hurtful things as describing them as fatties and high school dropouts. First of all, being an asshole on our servers isn't against the rules, if it stays with the attitude and doesn't reflect in things such as sniper blocking or other misdeeds.

It's the internet, after all. TF2 is a mature game and so are our servers, if you're getting offended by it you shouldn't be playing.

I know Barnaby and Brenardo from previous occasions, and I can honestly say they aren't worse than other people you'll meet on the internet. And by any means, I know most of the things they say aren't meant serious, that's how the online world is. We support free speech.

Towards the whole "proof" thing; Yes you have screenshots and they don't, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. It takes at least two people to start a fight like this. So I'm not quite sure how you expected this to run, or if you think that we're naive and can be fooled into banning people you don't like. Looking into the chat instead of just relying on the screenshots I was reading through various "umads" and insults from both sides. If I had to ban them for being disruptive, I would have to ban you for the same reasons. You didn't act a pinch better than them, provoking same as they did.

I was actually trying to go easy seeing as you're so easy to offend. But you're bashing our donors, our servers and you're trying to fool us with this report. I now understand why this has been going on for so long. Honestly? You connected to Lotus 10 times, literally asked for this, and when people turn up against you, you want to complain? You need to grow up, there's plenty of other servers to play on, but you won't outrun that people will get you mad, apparently quickly. Ban request denied.
