This reminds me on physics..i dunno why but it reminds me on a photon that is shot through a wall with 2 holes and at another wall the photon arrives. when there are many photons they "interact" with each other so there are patterns of light on the wall. but these patterns are also seen when shooting single photons...thats really weird! so all you know is the photon was shot from point A and arrives at the wall but you don't know whats happenin between these 2 points so you have to assume that there are 2 photons that interact with each other although only one is shot from point A. There are 2 theories: there are two universes and between those universes the photons can interact with each other (one goes through hole one and one through hole two) and the other theory says that the photon goes through the two holes at the same time and interacts with itself. i have no idea if even one theory is right i just accept them and try to udnerstand them...but the same thing occurs when youre traveling through time (which could be possible, but we dont have the ressources for it yet..and traveling through time is also forbidden, what is correct and good) well what i wanted to say: the photon is shot from point A and comes to the wall, however. First we know where the photon is shot from and then we know by seeing where the photon hits the wall. and now imagine its wednesday and you have to repair a machine. and youre travling to tuesday and you see yourself and say to your mr tuesday "hey lets repair the machine" but then mr tuesday says "why should i even try, when its not even repaired on wednesday!" humm physics is funny

i beg to differ....... it is impossible to travel through time.... well not completly impossibel......although i wouldnt consider my "theory" to be time traveling........rather than that it would be time freezing....

for instance, if you were to throw a ball at 100 mph. someone would have a hard time trying to catch it in midair.

now if you throw that same ball at the speed of light, when that ball passes by if the ball were looking at you, youd seem to be standing still

...... so far the fastest "thing" we know is light....so if speed will not get you to the past then what..? a time machine...?? very doubtfull....

as for traveling to the future...we are actually doing it right now slowly but surely we are traveling to the future at a very slow speed .... the thing is you cannot go any faster.....you can however freeze yourself and wait for the future to come to you....like this it may seem to you that 100 years went by fast while you were in a cryogenic state.. but in reality you are just sleeping and time went on without you. in which case you wasted time you didnt travel into the future you just waited for it to come to you. you didnt get old but the people around you did and for them you were just stupid back then when you said you would freeze yourself to live longer....

well in any case my belief still is that you cannot travel back or foreward into time.... we are though traveling through time all the time..

and aliens do exist they just dont trust us because we're evil............

So you travel for one year through space but you return to an earth thats hundreds of years older because you have travelled so far...thats how travelling into future is possible, but since we have no machine, nor the energy for making such velocity it is impossible for now..

first answer this..... is light a wave a particle or energy?...well i think its both... since it can travel through the vacum of space only waves are able to do that by the way, because a particle has nothing to bounce of off in the vacum of space.... but then again if it wasnt a particle how is light able to burn, for instance, lasers.

lasers are able to burn through steel which means that that steel is being bombarded by a bunch of particles to make a hole through. or that whole particle theory can be simply blown away by saying that light is pure energy like fire... you cannot break down fire to its smallest attoms because it doesnt have any it is just simply energy that you can see.

with that out of the way i have to ask you this.....if you were run from NY to LA and back.. meanwhile i am sitting on a couch waiting for you in NY... would i have aged more than you.... lets say it took you 100 days to run there and back.... would i have aged 10000 days by the time you get back? so you see speed cannot affect time thus shattering your theory...

there is one way you can actually age slower though.... i have proof....Alcohol....

for some reason my brother was a continuous drinker in the past... he's older than me ... yet he seems like 5 years younger than me you can actually see it in his face... he looks like hes still 17. and me i dont drink... and i look older than i actually am...... damn that sucks.....

You passed hundreds of lightyears and in meantime world is aging faster than you. Then when you return its 2106 while you aged for only one year. That is possible, because of the great velocity you're travelling with and the great distance you're passing. You can't do that by travelling from LA to NY

it is possible that they exist, the universe is very huge and still expanding, so there are many places like the Milkyway, but to think of aliens in UFOs with lazer guns and stuff...its rather improbable that such guys exist

but you see .. thats where you're completly wrong... a lightyear is not time... a lightyear is a term used to describe the distance that time travels during one year thus giving you the lightyear...... in such a case if light travels one year it means its traveling one of our years.

It works through time enlargement. E.g. When there is a watcher in the condition of a homogenous movement, then every relatively moved clock is moving slower. And that's happenin with everythin not just clocks, even with time itself. The faster the relatively move is the greater is time enlargement. get it now? That happens every day, but the time enlargement is so small nobody takes notice..

Time travelling is impossible, we have not enough ressources for it..

Time travelling into past is another thing, there are theories about it but there are no evidences nor can someone try it out...

who says aliens have tequnichal advantages? there are many reports of aliens sights but there are no realy proofes..ive never seen one..

mmm.

someone told me that travelling through time is impossible. once you hit the speed of light, time stops completely. for instance, when u are driving on the motorway at like 100mph, and u saw a dear on the road, would u see the deer move? however slowly? thats once example. light has almost no mass. it might not have any mass at all beacause it is electromagnetic radiation and only transfers energy, not mass. thats why it goes so fast.

i think the only possible way to travel through and backwards through time is to use a blackhole. theoretically speaking, if we were to negate the effects of a blackholes gravity by using uplift (create a ship that creates and extraordinary amount of heat as a form of uplift) we would be able to travel through a black hole unhindered. a black hole is the only known object that can forcibly tear through the fabric of the fourth dimension: time.

yes theortecially it would be possible to travel through a black hole into the past, but only when the black hole is rotating fast enough, but there are no black holes found yet that rotate fast enough..

Black holes dont rotate ... now youre just making stuff up.......with that post about time expansion you totaly confused me but if i understood right your time expansion theory works completly against you.... you see if you do expand time by going as fast as light then you would be the one aging faster not everyone around you.... because like dark said if you go fast enough you can actually see that anything beside you is standing still wich means aging for them has stoped but for you it hasent since you have that ability to see everyone else around you just standing there.....so you see youre actually enlarging time on yourself not the other way around .....in order for you to "time travel" to the future the world around you has to go faster and you would have to be standing in a safe place like in a room not being disturbed.

as for the black hole....its just completly imposible to make enough energy to counter the gravity of a black hole.....think about. it if light (which is the fastest thing we know and it has no mass to pull it down) is not able to get away from a black hole or even to at least slow down do you really think that anything out there in space is able to create such technology as to go faster than light and still have mass..? i think not.

I've got my quotes from wikipedia and I think they don't write nonsense. Fact is I don't know why you can travel into the past by black holes but fact is many physicial geniouses were working on these theories ond for that I rather believe them than I believe you.

well last night i was watching this "string theory" and the "super gravity theory" on the discovery science chanel... according to those crazy scientists there are 11 dimensions..........and all this time i thought there were only 5.... the 3 we live in, the one light "lives" in and, the one not very well understood by me......the 5th which is supposed to be this really really small space between the space ...... which i think is absurd, but eh... who's gonna argue with a scientist beside another crazy scientist......they didn't go into detail as to what the 6,7,8,9, and 10th dimensions are, i honestly think that they are just making up numbers.....

well theres supposed to be like whormholes created in the sea all the time......thats what some scientists argue... that evey time a wave hits the shore the tiny bubles create some kind of wormholes because they are able to get in that "space" between the space.... although they have no proof its supposed to be mathematicaly correct or something........ well if they do ever find out something like that in the near future.... its gona change the world very drasticaly i think..
