Recommended Posts

I'd love to donate something for your troubles. Server, ftp space, money (via paypal), sex partner of your choosing (two if you're lucky :P)

I can't belive you got it all done the same day. That's amazingly awesome.

Thanks so much!

You're using the PLR plguin right? Not the DLL?

I know the DLL will get you that error.

Sounds like you installer the player limits plugin wrong. The file I made looks for it in the first bin folder, and not the tf/bin folder.

Chances are you installed it into the second bin folder instead of the first, but as long as it works :).

We have an occasional issue on our servers where up to 80% of the players will just time out/drop. Was curious if anyone else was having that issue?

If not, would anyone mind sharing their general server configs so we can trace this problem down? We know it's not a hardware or networking issue.

Nope never happens... Tried reinstalling TF2 Server? Also might be some sort of plugin conflicts?

Here's a CFG from one of my servers

// Server Vars

sv_voiceenable 1

sv_visiblemaxplayers -1

sv_downloadurl "http://www.is1337.net/maps/"

// Map Vars

mp_timelimit 20

mp_fraglimit 0

mp_autoteambalance 1

mp_chattime 15

// Physics

phys_pushscale -30

// Password

rcon_password ":o"

// bandwidth rates/settings

sv_minrate 0

sv_maxrate 0

decalfrequency 10

sv_maxupdaterate 100

sv_minupdaterate 20

// server logging

log on

sv_logbans 0

sv_logecho 1

sv_logfile 1

sv_log_onefile 0

// Other

fps_max 1000

// operation

sv_region 255

// tv_enable 1

// Balancing

Now clearly the physics one can be... Ignored. But the rest are fine.

I was able to get it to run upwards of 33 players but it was shitty to say the least. Not to mention the random crashes..

In the end I got so frustrated I deleted the file and said I'll never try to do that again.

However I think I will... just not sometime too soon.
