Admin/donator Abuse Of Votekick

There is a player on the 2fort 24/7 server who is a donator nammed -=(RAC)=- KONA CALDERA who initiated a votekick on me after I killed him three times in the tunnel witha shotgun while trying to take out my teleport base in their sewers.

He puts up a votekick, as the teleportation base allows us to bypass their sentries/snipers guarding the main bridge and launch attacks directly from their weakest spot (the interior since their forces are concentrated on the bridge).

Needless to say since 1 is the option to say YES to votekick (no reason was given btw, said N/A), I was swiftly votekicked by a 19-8 margin.

I came back on the server and told him that was admin abuse, he says he's a donator so he doens't care since eh will not be penalized as such, puts up another votekick and I get kicked again.

The easiest fix to this abuse is simply changing the default vote option (number 1) to NO, since people would only kick you and hit 2 for yes if there really was a reason.

He also tried to justify it by saying I was useless to my team by building in their sewers and would ahve votekicked me if I was on his team as well.

Then which RAC member was it then? It was clearly an RAC member that has donator powers, was online from 3:30 to 4:30, had a very high score, and if it's not you, since you had a 133 score at the time of my post, you should tell us which RAC member it was then because you were CERTAINLY online during the fiasco.

Get the chatlog on RAC methods, he was the only other RAC donator on at the time.

In fact can you get the chatlog of that entire session. You'll lots of people asking why are we kicking and people defending me.

And to the poster at 19-8 saying I wasn't wanted, that's not true, because I accidently voted for myself, because the default option is 1 to say yes and I was switching to my primary weapon (shotgun as engie) which is also bounded to 1.

donators can be banned and AFK'ers can be kicked it wasnt like it was a voteban.

i try to defend the guy and then its all all the admins here are abusers. I know mana, ima get you kicked.

Actually a donor was kicking because he didn't like the guy and the way he was playing, thus It's worth a staff member's review.

Its defiantly worth a review because I myself have removed donators from the server for attempting to kick people who were not only AFK *Using the AFK excuse when player is actually moving*, and players who were doing solo domination for half the team. (Cry some more?) *Team being full of Snipers and Spies* (Demo forwarded to the right people)

Donating Privileges are just that, a privilege, not a right. You shouldn't let first time abusers be left off so easily, its not a habitual thing, its called being an ass and abusing privileges that when you signed up for, stated you would not abuse them. We're not Admins, we're just community supporters with privileges. This donator here is obviously profiling in who to kick/ban and for false reasons. If the player being kicked has an advantage that they don't like, tough, deal with it or find another server. Kicking/Banning people is not an option.

As for the 19-8 bullshit, Yes is the first option, as always, being number 1. People have said they press it all the time because they believe its a Server Admin who called the vote, which in reality its not. They also don't want their screen spammed by these things and need to access their number buttons quite frequently. In a haste to rid of it, they simply hit the first option. This is why you don't let retarded people vote.

I would like to calirify the issue.

1. you may want to review your posts when invlolving chats talking about banning donators for shallow abuse claims Kerby. If you arent clear in your message you might confuse ppl who spend there monies here into thinking that donators are somehow in the wrong. it doesnt put them into a giving mood if received that way.

2. He may have voted for idle but there isnt really an 'other' reason. Idle is probably what he was voting for.

3. I did and do not agree with the vote- if you want to put a gun in sewers, w/e, every once in awhile i go camp grate or sewer as demo, it is a game, so I would like pax to know i am fine with that

4. if it goes 19:8 its more likely your problem and not the servers. If we are going on Democracy, which i hear alot about here on these forums, then sry you must have been doing something wrong.

5. Not post worthy imo, especially for the threats I am feeling and im not rly even involved i was just there

I don't call this shallow abuse, a person was kicked multiple times by a premium member who as Ajju pointed out, was trusted with them privileges to be able to call forth a vote immediately but abused them rights because he didn't like the way the player was playing. Upon looking at the chatlog which I posted a picture of, shows quite clearly nothing about him being idle, or even AFK for 2 seconds,. He was building a base in the sewers and the donor dis-approved. As for your point #4, if it's the players on our server's problem, I'd see it as our problem too. If players on our server have a problem with other players and their disruption it's our jobs as admins to sort that problem out. He may not have had physical evidence to support his claim on this thread but I found the chatlog where the donor was abusive and threatened to kick him.

However, I will not take action on this for my own safety, I will leave this for a staff member. If it was left up to me, I'd ban for a month until his donor needs renewal.

I'm not staff because I'm relatively new to Lotus, yet I am an admin and lotus member, 1 step below staff. I'd see that as a great accomplishment considering I've only been here since November. However my status within lotus has little to do with this thread, so please keep it to the original topic, thanks.

I have explained why this thread needs to be reviewed by higher authorities, if you don't like our recommendation, then simply shut up. Unfortunately, butthurt guys views here mean shit.

I'm glad my feelings were justified, but the primary concern is changing the default vote to "no", making "no" option number 1.

I play on CSS servers where the first two options have a silly phrase that blocks out that option. The other thing that works is when it's 4 and 5

If this happens again get the proof (either via chat logs or demos) and post a ban request.

Then it will be dealt with. Donors are not immune from any sort of bans. Admin/Donor features are privileges, not rights.
